  • MandCo I got the fruit creme Quality Street for £2, they are my favourites!

Pinknfluffy - Im burning Fireside Treats wax melt at the moment, one of my favourites!

OMO ouch! hope you are ok and that everyone in here is safe and sounds - I remember a few years ago when it was really bad I went outside to move the patio chairs into the garage in high wind and a tile came off the roof and landed about 3 feet from me! sent me back indoors like a shot! I was a bit worried last night as midlands expected to get it quite bad and I of course started worrying about how much it will cost to repair stuff if its damaged, it has been quite calm other than some rain so weve been very lucky, I hope you are all ok xx

ah nooooo! QVC have a set of 2 large Yankee jars, Fireside Treats and Golden Sands for £27 on easy pay, have to sit on my hands - or even better I have to go to work!! see you later, will catch up then! typical I see something else when I really have enough and promised no more after yesterday! xxx
  • Baked Nigellas Christmas morning muffins earlier, oh my days they are better than expected and so easy. Shall bake another batch tomorrow for the freezer.

I had to remind my mother a couple of years ago that those who are no longer here to share our Christmases are replaced by new little people and one day they themselves (my mother not the tiddlies) will be no longer here and they should enjoy it and remember fondly those who have gone from this earth because they brought so much joy and laughter and love to Christmas that it would be an injustice to their memories to be moping.

It is a reminder of those who are no longer here but also a celebration of the new people who are :D

My mother seems better about it this year thankfully!.. but it is years since her mother passed and 4 since her brother did too and it is those she misses most. In that time we have added 9 new people to our family!

This is so lovely, thankyou! I hope to have a big family of my own one day, I hope that my parents look at it in the same way you have said :)

has anyone seen the new boxes of quality street instore anywhere? apparently they have a creams one strawberry/orange & new lemon flavour & a toffee & fudge one. online tesco are meant to be 1/2 price at £2 but def not seen them &£4.50 at sains  but again def no sign also showing honeycomb matchmakers on tesco but not seen them either

Saw all of the new QS in Mr T about 2-3 weeks ago and almost bought some but knew they wouldn't last the week let alone to Christmas if I did! Haven't seen any since that one week though so either they didn't get much stock or they were so popular they're all out. Can't remember if I saw the honeycomb matchmakers or not...

Might be best trying to order online..? http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=quality+street&newSort=true&N=4294687924

Just one fence panel down for us (Sussex) and winds seem to be easing. Bought nordic (fairisle) style Christmas t-shirt £5 primark yesterday and gorgeous cream jumper with stone studded snowflake on it.

This http://www.wilko.com/christmas-decorations/wilko-berry-reindeer-christmas-table-decoration-flocked-red/invt/0323093 is fantastic from Wilkinsons. A good height and stunningly bright red for only £4. It draws the eye to it. So glad to find a lovely decoration which isn't saturated with glitter.

Don't know if anyones seen these http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=279832774 my friend thought they were baubles before she looked closer!

Big thanks to whoever recommended www.flubit.com, already saved me money. Keep safe.

Sun is shining in North Lincs but wind is really picking up now..thought we had escaped it!

Got some more Christmas shopping done this morning courtesy of Home Bargains.Bought some of their large jar candles for £2.99 look v similar to the yankee large jars-Bought Cinnamon fragrance and going to use red gingham ribbon around the jar necks to jazz them up a bit.None of my family down south have heard of home bargains so makes my bargains look expensive..:rotfl:

My studio order sorted-amazing what gets sorted once you take to social media with a gripe..lol.

My hubby is off to West Brom to work tonight so im going to get my christmas cards all written and just waiting for my pretty stickers to arrive from the internet gift store to go on the envelopes.

Home Bargains have lots of Childrens Christmas dvds by the tills for 99p(Scun-thorpe branch)..including Littlest Light On The Christmas Tree which is a fave here. Was very tempted to snap them up but had my hubby with me and he already thinks im a bit bonkers over being Christmas OCD x

nanamia - that all looks really nice. I like the way you have put the colours together. I need to do something with this room it is too white. it gets me down.

omo- your shins made my toes curl (if you know what I mean). get a skirt on so no fabric is touching them. they need to get some air too them. ouch.
  • Nana - Love love love your home decor! And the cake - WOW! How on earth do you find the time to come on here as well?!

Another flubit bargain today - managed to get a 1D fleece for dd1 at £7.80 as opposed to amaz@n's price of £9.60! That finishes her xmas eve box nicely!

Have just managed to convince my dh that a shelf running the length of our back lounge wall, high up, in same colour as book shelving be-spoke unit, would look amazing with my ever-growing polar bear collection on it! That's his project for the weekend sorted (well, he gets bored so easily when he has more than a day off work so really I came up with the idea for his benefit - honest!)
