We live in North Lincolnshire and planning where to take dd to see Father Christmas this year..last year we went to Centerparcs Winter Wonderland and she saw him there..This year im thinking Steam Train Santa..Theres the polar Express up near Durham..The North Yorks Moors Santa Special or the Cleethorpes light railway if anyone can give thumbs up or down to any?
U
Pretty much organised presents wise..ds1(19) wants money ds2(15) wants upgrades for his pc (really doesnt seem like a present but what he wants) and dd (5) has circled half the argos book but shes happy with anything to do with drawing or moshi monsters so shes easy pleased.
Had my personalised order come from 24studio the other day and one order was wrong..feeling a bit over sensitive over it as it was a memorial vase for my mum who died 2 years ago and they spelt her surname wrong..error being on their part but they are saying error on my part (even though i have now sent the proof they are wrong).Felt like an insult to her even though they don't even know her..but like i say just me being over sensitive with it being something for mum.
Have got all my christmas cards out and ready to write..will do them in the week when hubbys away working.Small fortune to post but some aren't on facebook or such like and i still like to do a handwritten letter on some nice paper filling in on all the years news.
Pondering on if we can afford to go to a panto this year too..DD goes with the school on last day of term but truth is i love it too..so we shall see.
We are doing the polar express on Dartmoor, usually do the santa steam express but friends did the ploar express last year and said how fab it was, so as this is the last year we think we will get oldest son to join us we have paid extra for polar express. So excited, need to buy some pjs though !'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0 -

Evening all :santa2: hope everyones ready for these winds. Been round the garden and put everything away in the sheds. Charged up camping lights and ds' fof the kids ready for the inevitable power cuts we'll have. Oh the joy of living in the middle of nowhere!
OMO could you add a couple of tasks for me.
This week I will clean autumn clean kitchen, washing down cupboards etc ready to decorate.
Take children to a couple of garden centers to see xmas displays
Order FIL's present when new credit card arrives:xmastree:
Feeling a bit pants tonight, sore throat etchaving a cheeky brandy followed by bed.
Stay safe everyone x0 -
mkgirl1981 I love them all. I really must not buy anymore.
Well maybe just a tea light holder won't hurt.
Again today dd asked a friend if they thought we had too many ornaments and was told no. :rotfl:
She really thinks there is too much in here. I keep telling her that when we had the bookcase we had more, but she won't believe me.
It has felt like a very long day waiting for the storm. We are in the red zone, so are quite apprehensive. It's the not knowing that I don't like. And as for the sleeping in the loft part, well I'll say no more on that. Apart from I hope the tiles don't come off or I'll get wet. :rotfl:0 -

I've just bought this - it was a bit of a splurge for me but paying over 3 months made it seem a bit more ok lol0 -
We too are in the red zone, I'll probably sleep through it all though lol[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

My bed is only about 4 foot from the roof, so I doubt I will. :eek:0
