Well, I chose my username as I used to be a huge Big Brother fan and when Perfect Pete (with tourettes) was going into thhe house Davina said 'wow he's a real crowdpleaser' and I was online at the time joining a different forum so that's what I got.

Well, done from work for the day. have been really down in the dumps. Big row with DH last night about something and nothing. Oh well.

Popped to Tesco this morning for some gloves hat n scarf for dd2 as the weather is gonna get chilly later in the week. Also got some of the smarties on offer for my sleighs.

Then on way home I zipped to BHS and got Arthur Christmas for CE hamper. Accidently went into Primarni and got DD1 some new tops and a pair of jeans and then by mistake I bough a xmas guest towel, a pair of xmas t towels and a multi pack of chrimbo earrings.

Just home and trying to earn some quick swagbucks before school run.

DH in London at a conference thing all day so wont be home til VV late so just me n the girls. Chicken pilaf for tea. Yum.

Oh I know theres a couple of Milton Keynes girls here, apparently Frosts at Woburn xmas stuff is all out and its good this year. Oh and they are opening a new ice rink where waitrose was up the city xxxx

Yes, we've decided that we have had such a crabby year things can only get better. I used the back money from tax credits and bought DS a silhouette cameo and myself a new sewing machine, completely irresponsible but I just thought f*** the world for once. I plan on getting most christmas things out of the way in the next couple of weeks then having a complete bohemian lifestyle for the rest of the year. It's been 7 months since losing my dad and my mum is starting to have regular nightmares so I think if we relax and just take a break and do some little bits for her she will relax more. Going to set up Skype for her to keep in touch with her grandchildren.

Aah PINKSTEPS good for you!!! After what you and DS have been through its nice to just treat yourselves, i bet he is thrilled with that, hope your mum is ok, if it wasnt for your brother you would all be living together now and it would be much easier to be there for each other, btw love how your name came about :)

For those looking for Christmas PJs and clothing for littlies, try Primark.

I bought my twin nephews "Santa's little helper" onesies, fleece PJs with penguins and snow flakes and Christmas themed long sleeved tops from there on Saturday.

Back to the studying I go ... I have another exam tomorrow

Crowdpleaser - hahaha you "accidentally" went in and bought Christmas things "by mistake". It's like when I got a Christmas book out of the library the other week "without realising". (Miracle On Regent Street, I enjoyed it.)

Oh, and I got my username because I can never think of usernames and it was what I was drinking when I signed up.

Pinksteps- good on you for treating yourself and DS to something just for yourselves- you both deserve it.

Freespirit- lovely name even though it came about in a horrible way.
Crowdpleaser- accidentally?? I have to use that excuse myself!

My user name is boring- its my name!

Actually, I'm being a tad naughty there. I have a cunning plan [in my best Baldrick voice]. My Dd unexpectedly got an exchange, and in a matter of weeks she went from her little flat to a 2 bed house closer to us but far enough away in Billingshurst. It's an area I've always liked so I have dropped a few subtle hints to my mum about moving that way. Well, when I say subtle, more like "let's sell up and move and do not tell my brothers!"
I am going to leave little hints occasionally then in the New Year let her know I'm deadly serious, by then it will be a year since losing dad and we will know where we are with ds. She has been saying she is the only one left now, all her friends have passed or moved so it would not be like she leaving people behind [apart from those who we want to ;) ]

Right Guys made some progress. I am now at page 314 out of 352 so again apologies if anything mentioned below has moved on in a negative way.

Junior_J - OMG You have had a really rough ride. Sadly... I know more than I need to about rude consultants and making a formal complaint after events this year. If theres anything you want to know but are too embarrassed to ask on an open forum (if you know what I mean) please feel free to PM me. :o

AMEY - Need to read on to find out about Supervisors job

Choccymoose - hope your car trouble got sorted.

Caitlyn22 - Just read a post you wrote on 25/09/13 about putting problems in a pile (I am playing catch up..). It was really moving and I can totally relate to it. It is true that these things are sent to try us, and I guess believe the "universe" or whoever or whatever, thinks we have the knowhow and courage to deal with it. There are many days where I struggle to convince myself of that, but I am trying, and I thought your post was lovely. :A

Crowdpleaser - Congrats on the house sale.

HANLEY25 - hope your car trouble got sorted.

WUVVIES - Will have to read on to see current situation with your DD but OMG! :( Thinking of you.

Ruth_Honey - Not looked for xmas jumpers yet, but DD has asked for one, and I am heading out on 22nd for birthday shopping trip and lunch and doing a detour through Primarni and New Look to see what they have.

MrsHayes - I have also found the other playground parents a bit cliquey. I think the problem at our school is the fact I work full time and so I personally dont always drop them off, and I never pick them up, and I am frowned upon. Most the other parents are quite well to do (not me obviously) and dont work and because I am not readily available to bake cakes, join PTA etc, I stand out.

Sequeena - Well done on Windows phone win.

Snugglebunny8- For BFF christmas eve hamper, If you want a bottle of prosecco they do one with an ice bucket for £20 in Boots. Overpriced I know, but you may be able to get a cheaper from BHS (once their xmas offerings for this year make an apprearance). Fairly sure I have seen Arthur Christmas for a fiver somewhere. (Either Asda or Home Bargains I think), but as others have mentioned probably best all round family film would be ELF.

Loving all the "LUSH" talk. Will go and check out the new stuff, though I confess to still having 2 boxes from last christmas to use up, and... hubby always moans about the smell. Another alternative you might not have heard of is Bomb Cosmetics. In my opinion, they are just as good as Lush and a nice alternative.

Where are these "Keep calm and dont get you tinsel in a tangle" mugs from? Think I read Poundland but I have inspected ours and not seen any,

Right, might be back later with another update to 10 pages or so, or might be tomorrow now. Bye for now....
