Was in waitrose today and the Heston christmas range was 25% off so big christmas puddings were £10.29 instead of £14
Not sure if they did it before but they have one with chocolate sauce in the middle as well as the usual hidden orange one
also not related to christmas but took my kitten to the vet for the first time today and found out its a girl not a boy - I've already named "him" and she seems to recognise it now so I don't know whether to change it lol0 -

BBTHREE-I saw the Keep calm & don't get your tinsel in a tangle mugs in Poundland last week. Didn't buy any at the time as I had enough to carry, but would quite like one myself this Christmas. Have several chrismas mugs already, though...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

My Hobbycraft stags came today :j
Now I just have to
A decorate them
B name them
C find somewhere to hang them.
I think I am coming down with something. I slept for 10 hours last night and could have easily stayed in bed this morning. I also fell asleep when I got home from work. The delivery driver woke me when she knocked.0 -
thanks Eljaycock!
Murie and choccymousse you must be so proud! that is fantastic positive news!!
RuthHoney thanks for the suggestions - she was SO much better this time, her sister in a seperate carrier cries constantly on the journey and at the vet and I think this unsettles her, as taking her by herself seemed much better despite having to do 2 appointments! She was much more relaxed and the vet took the lid off the carrier and she didnt try to leap out and hide under the furniture like usual! only once she started to put the needle in did she hiss spit and growl, but not with anything like the usual venom! she praised her a lot and was very gentle, we decided this time not to lift her out and weigh and inspect her as we didnt want to push our luck and upset her when she had made such good progress, the vet said she heard me chatting to her in the waiting room (embarrassing!) and said she felt the way I chatted to her really helped calm her (am usually trying to calm down the one who is crying!) and that she felt I had a very good relationship with her which was a lovely thing to say .... I bought a hot chicken home from work for tea and she has had a slice of it as a treat for being so good .... I swear she looks a little smug LOL!
Weeclick I hope it improves soon honey!
Kaya ... me too! Im an 8am Christmas Eve last minute tripper! usually bread or fruit or something, but there is something lovely about it!!
Still catching up so apologies if Ive missed anything so far! - love the @sda photos MKmum!0 -

Oh, that's good to hear. Sometimes cats will feed off each others fear, so they have to be separated for their own good. Our little girl, Blossom has a sister and 2 brothers who went to a rescue centre (found Blossom first, then a week later ended up rescuing her mum & siblings from a church basement) and her sister was making one of the boys quite antsy and they had to be separated. She's still in the centre, sadly, as she's more feral than the others, but I think with the right owners she could be a lovely cat. Blossom took some time and a lot of work to come to where she is today, but it's worth it when you feel her snuggle up to you at night.
We're currently training her to use a microchip activated cat flap. It's day six and she's finally used it to come in and out on her own, without it needed to be propped open! :T Now I can feel better about going out for hours in the afternoon and knowing she's got the freedom to go in and out as she likes.
Bought some gingerbread latte packs that were mentioned a few pages back. They're very yummy! Sainsbury have them at 1/2 price (£1.49) for 8 sachets.
I'm sure there was something else I wanted to add to this post, but can't for the life of me remember what it was!
Ah...I've remembered it! It was why I chose my user name. Ruth is my middle name and honey is what my hubby calls me. Not very exciting...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi Peeps
My catch up session is going well. Now up to page 330 of 352.
Updates below. Again as stated previously, apologies if anything mentioned has moved on since in a negative way...
Nanamia - My selfless friend, you are seriously overdoing it, and you need to be resting and not taking on too much. That said... The cake you made is stunning
Pinknfluffy28 - Teens go their own way, and hitting them financially is the only way they will notice, and I do think their Mum will be a huge influence.
Wuvvies - Really sorry to read about situation with DD. It is your house and your rules. Unfortunately hormones and an idiot boyfriend have turned her head. Just have your door open for when she has learnt her lesson and comes back. You need to focus on yourself and DS.
Mandco - Hope you are ok and have your xmas mojo back
Flowfy - You must be very proud of your DS, he sounds extremely talented
Msgiggleswick Versus Cadburys - Ha Ha Awesome . Think we should all email them, they wont mess with the xmas gang. Great news on your daughter being fast tracked at college.
Junior_J - You are extremely positive and calm and brave, and that positivity does you credit. You poor thing
OMO - Tried and tried but I just dont GET pininterest. I am extremely jealous of your xmas mag (aka xmas p*rn) collection. I will be buying 1 (or more) xmas mags to treat myself this weekend. EDIT :- NOOOOOOOOO!!! Just read on and you have put xmas p*rn in recycling : (
Spendless and Whitesatin - Belated Happy Birthday
Freespirit66 - Belated Happy Birthday. Your birthday cake by DD2 is amazing. Really sorry to hear about your armAims for 2014
