Hello all :j
I'm de lurking. Have been reading for a few months and thought ild join in. I started my Xmas shopping on boxing day  so I have a massive box of gift sets, soap etc for £12 all my wrapping paper and cards for 10p :T
Am doing my dad and his partner a green & black chocolate hamper so have been picking them up when I see them half price.
So now I've only got my DS 3 and dd1 to buy for :T
Am currently poorly with a sinus infection (oh the pain) but once I'm better I'm gonna make a start on the rest.
Happy shopping everyone
Hello, you've come to the right place. I also started this years Christmas shopping on Boxing day last year. :rotfl:
And I'm also poorly.
Are we related ?0 -
OMO - Tried and tried but I just dont GET pininterest. I am extremely jealous of your xmas mag (aka xmas p*rn) collection. I will be buying 1 (or more) xmas mags to treat myself this weekend. EDIT :- NOOOOOOOOO!!! Just read on and you have put xmas p*rn in recycling : (
Try again with Pinterest. If you put in DIY Christmas gifts or DIY Christmas decorations, you kind of get a really big Christmas magazine.:D
Also if you press on something you like the look of, scroll down the page and you can see similar pins.
You can then pin the things you like, and make your 'own magazine' that only has things that you like in it.0 -

My nick name comes from my days in the air cadets, when training to become a cadet gliding instructor and dropping a chocolate mousse on the floor which happened to explode and cover an officers shoes in the mess hall on base! From then on I was known as mousse and yes I know its spelt differently  so just adapt it as my username'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

Our little girl, Blossom has a sister and 2 brothers who went to a rescue centre (found Blossom first, then a week later ended up rescuing her mum & siblings from a church basement) and her sister was making one of the boys quite antsy and they had to be separated. She's still in the centre, sadly, as she's more feral than the others, but I think with the right owners she could be a lovely cat. Blossom took some time and a lot of work to come to where she is today, but it's worth it when you feel her snuggle up to you at night.
We're currently training her to use a microchip activated cat flap. It's day six and she's finally used it to come in and out on her own, without it needed to be propped open! :T Now I can feel better about going out for hours in the afternoon and knowing she's got the freedom to go in and out as she likes.
Bought some gingerbread latte packs that were mentioned a few pages back. They're very yummy! Sainsbury have them at 1/2 price (£1.49) for 8 sachets.
I'm sure there was something else I wanted to add to this post, but can't for the life of me remember what it was!
Ah...I've remembered it! It was why I chose my user name. Ruth is my middle name and honey is what my hubby calls me. Not very exciting...
LOL! My second daughter is called Blossom!0 -

Aw, that's sad. I used to go there every week.
I'm sure the new one is massive and shiny and lovely. I just hate change!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
I have had a right saga on tonight. the old lady (90 next week)next door isn't half having funny do's lately and she keeps coming round to try and get me to go on bogus emergency missions. she unplugs things and says they don't work. then I come back round and she does it again.....does she think I can't tell
I don't know whether she is senile or a criminal mastermind. I just laugh and say 'what are you like joan'. I have to report back to her son and daughter in law - I have been friends with her daughter in law for 18 years. it is just by chance I ended up living next to her 6 years ago. they are mortified and keep apologising and are straight over. but she won't move with them, won't go in a home, wont have home help. she either calls them or muggins
I aren't bothered, she is a nice lady but lonely. but she wanders round sometimes and posts money through letterbox's and I have to wrangle her in her house, and get it back off people :rotfl:
its like being a gestapo guard, I am up at the window, looking out the front and then looking through the window half way up the stairs.
if she sees my daughter, she shouts are you angela or angela's daughter....then if she says daughter she shouts 'well I don't need you do I, then'
I am waiting for the next instalment....I can see tonights shenanigans aren't over...she has the devil in her tonight.
by the way....she told me once that david Dickinson was telling her to send him her life savings.0 -

We named her that because we found her next to a large puddle with cherry blossom floating in it. I'm guessing that's not the same as your daughter...;)
If she was a boy cat, we would've called her Louis because as our neighbour was driving us to the vets when we first found her, a Louis Armstrong song came on and she seemed to relax.
Told someone at the swimming pool today about the Morrisons chocolate offer and she kept saying "2 for £7? Are you SURE??? I bought some in the co-op last week and they were 2 for £10. Are you SURE they're that price at Morrisons???" :rotfl: Hopefully she'll believe me and buy some before the offer ends!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
