busy people again, thanks for the info re Mr M's sweeties, I can resist everything but temptation (who said that?)
Got 2 boxes covered yesterday, I found some thick gold wrapping paper courtesy of halfcost ages ago, now I want gold foil card from the works when my friend is next at work, so far, so good, inserts fingers crossed smiley.
Other friend is poorly with a heavy cold, so she is snuggled up on my sofa, I have fed her home made soup and a ham butty, and a cup of hot chocolate, (all my favourite poorly foods) and have put bananas, cake and custard in a bag for her to take home for later.
    I don't have anti-biotics, just huggy food.
My tomato plants have succumbed to the cold and wet, so I will harvest them later today, my nephew likes to make chutneys so he can have the green ones, and the peppers and chillies for jam as well. I am sure to get jars of his stuff in return, so I win!
Need milk and teacakes, so had best go to Mr Ms for them, ......oh, did someone mention a sweetie offer? might just check it out!

    Final update (for the moment.....)

Does anyone know if M&S xmas kitchen roll and loo roll out yet? Think I have some in the loft but defo not going up there to check. Spiders - URGH!!!

Any luck anyone finding the Chocolate Segsation tins? We prefer them to Roses/Quality Street, though if I can get to Morrisons this week I might buy them as well.

Am I the only one who was a bit disapointed when they read the Boots xmas catalogue?

Got an amazing xmas DVD for xmas eve hamper. Its called Spike and was only 99p in Home Bargains.

It might be rubbish but for that price who cares. I am also buying Nativity 2 once release

No luck down here with segsation tins, think I will buy 2 of the boxes when they go on offer later. I have nativity 2 on preorder and dispicable me 2

Long day today but in short DS saw a new consultant whom suspects it's cerebral palsy causing the problems with his legs so DS couldn't be fitted for the casts, he has to go back on the 28th for fitting plus specialist shoes. He also said DS will not be able to remove them for dance when the physio told him he could so that's a blow.
We did go to the craft bank after and I've rejoined so DS came away with lots of things to make whilst waiting.

Oh dear, poor DS its not good when everyone has different opinions you dont know if you are coming or going, bless him for being so determined to do something he loves, i wish him all the luck in the world to get where he wants to be

anyway, i have 4 cats, one of them is female and all black. she is named willow. we are really close and i talk to her and tell her how lovely she is and she chitter chatters back to me. so one day i said she was fluffy and lovely and kept telling her because i could tell she liked it and the fluffy and lovely got merged into one word - flowfy. so now we all call her flowfy and have for about 2 years. although her name at the vets etc is willow. so, that's how i got the name flowfy. i called myself after my cat. :rotfl:

Do you know i was thinking the other day i wonder what makes people choose their forum names, there must be various reasons behind them all, yours is a lovely story, mine is an 'up yours' to ex DH after the initial shock/upset/ of finding out he was having an affair, after 30 years! i actually began to feel free, i just had this wonderful sense of spiritual freedom and being able to say, do or think what i wanted was so liberating, so that is how freespirit came about :)

Yes, we've decided that we have had such a crabby year things can only get better. I used the back money from tax credits and bought DS a silhouette cameo and myself a new sewing machine, completely irresponsible but I just thought f*** the world for once. I plan on getting most christmas things out of the way in the next couple of weeks then having a complete bohemian lifestyle for the rest of the year. It's been 7 months since losing my dad and my mum is starting to have regular nightmares so I think if we relax and just take a break and do some little bits for her she will relax more. Going to set up Skype for her to keep in touch with her grandchildren.

I'm a little disappointed went to my local asda and mothercare yesterday and they ad no Xmas things at all! I've bought my two children 7 months and 2 year old all their Xmas presents but I couldn't for the life of me find Xmas pjs, advent calendar and Xmas day outfits

I think they should start with the Christmas things once Halloween is out the way!

If you find any cute xmas pjs let me know, I'm doing a Christmas eve hamper for my granddaughter, the 1st one, she is 2 and knows whats going on this year!

Love everyone's posts, once Strictly starts, its the countdown to Christmas for me!

    xx
