was in M+S and they have some lovely biscuit tins again this yr currently doing a 4 seasons barrel for £5 1/2 price which isn't so xmassy but would be ideal for keeping out all yr. they had a really nice snow globe style one which i will be keeping an eye on along with the stag shortbread tin as hoping they will be doing most of them on 1/2 price at some point like last yr.
they also had bags of sprouts (choc balls) so picked one up for a joke for someone who hates sprouts
wilkos had lots of advent calenders out cadburys dairymilk & cadburys wishes ones @ £2.50. they also had "the snowman" & lots of the snowman choc figures in various sizes
some nice sets in the blox range including some girly ones all under £10 and make a cup of bloxs for £3.50 down from £5
no real xmas stock other than the choc advents but a few sweets reduced to 1/2 price mixed in with the regular sweets worth a look if your making a sweet hamper
also picked up a fibre optic mini tree from 99pshop actually pretty good quality & looks lovely in the dark so will def see if they have any more left when I go next time
if anyone has a little ones who have the fisherprice little people range boots instore had quite a few sets I havent really seen anywhere else including disney character vehicle sets for £15 & 3for2 saw these 2 today

Have just spoken to estate agent. Our chain is now complete and as most of us are ready we should be looking to exchange in around a months time! Completion soon after. Oh my giddy aunt.
I need to go anf unpack shopping. I might leave tins etc for dd2 who is 4 to put away when I pick her up at 12. Slave labour? X
hope your feeling better hope dd helped with the tins def not slave labour didn't you know unpacking the shopping is one of the best games ever at that age not considered labour till they hit they're teens
congrats on the house newsthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Hi everybody I hope that you've had a good weekend and those who are
having troubles or illness that these times will pass.
Nanamia the voice activated programme would be great, I am reading this forum daily even if I'm not well enough to post, I'm so glad I found it.
I can see your dilemma in the tree, I have four large white twigs with
fairy lights on from next and these sit in a white tall vase on fireplace all year round.like you I still do stockings for my two and their partners.
I also have fairy lights all year round on my dressing table mirror as sometime I have to spend a lot of time in there. I think I've got a pattern
here lol. I also visit Bents garden centre every year, I think it was Bents
Where we purchased this large glitter white and gold twig/tree from.

I'm starting to flag now lol. Can't wait to go to bed tonight but still got DS1s swimming lesson to get thru first! Really hope that DS2 doesn't wake up so early tomorrow! His teeth must be hurting him tho poor boy
I had a lovely breakfast thanks Freespirit
Crowd pleaser - fantastic news about your house, hope all goes smoothly for you
NCIS fan - hope the wisdom tooth goes ok. I have always had problems with mine and had a top one out which I'm really sorry to say was awful!
Mandco - thanks for the Wilkos tips!
Xmas wise I got the boys Xmas day jumpers today in sainsburys and the best bit was when I got to the til they both had 25% off! Apparently there is 25% off all clothing (finishing today) if anyone is interested. Also in town I got a little diary for my mums stocking, a scooby doo activity pack for DS1s stocking and some chocolate coins.
Struggling abit for things for DS2s stocking though. He will be almost 2 by Xmas but he tends to play with toys older than his age as he just plays with DS1s. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful! So far I have a book and some sweets! LolDS 1 born 12/02/2009DS 2 born 30/01/2012Married 07/07/07xx Love my boys xx0 -
Hi
Have to say thanks to everyone for all the tips and money saving ideas. I have worked out I have saved about £100 on all my gifts and only have a few to buy. I only have six people, two dogs and a cat to buy for. Today I was about to buy an electric toothbrush to put in with my OH's gifts and just went to Mr T and Mr A's. They were about the same for the same item but then I thought of Argos and here it was for half price. Last year I would have just bought it in the first store without thinking!!!
Keep up all the bargains as I still have all my food to buy but lucky it is just for me, OH and one dog. xSealed Pot Challenge 1441

Hi, how is us all? we is wobbly as wobbly is.
Chrissy G good luck to DD hope this course is the one for her. Also great news on house.
Crowdpleaser, also great news on house completion, rotten luck about the lighthouse and hope the 'bleughs' have passed.
Flowfy, also so proud for you andDS what a talented youngster! I ha the same resistance last year over the three bird roast, like you also I just served it,and hey ho they all lurved it.
Pink and fluffy and Opie 92, what a lovely treat, hope you meet up, I was there in march for a craft break, it was great.
Did you enjoy your breakfast Mrshayes? I hope so.
Babyboo glad to see you posting again, hope you are a lot better too.
Nanamia, now, Do as you are told, and rest, dammit! l know its awful when you take on too much and feel you have to soldier on thru it, but enough is enough, my dear friend. Yes it was more than besties tournament on Saturday, more than 40 contenders so it was an epic event!
I have just been up to DS2s bungalow to take a tv forhim, oh, dear, his place is a tip, l don't know what to do, it needs a skip, part of his aspbergers (sic) is hoarding and not getting rid of stuff, compounded with the apathy and tiredness which is part of his myotonia condition just makes it worse. He is such a lovely caring bloke, that l don't want to come the heavy, and he is so proud of being independent, l cant interfere, but he cant go on like this! Anyway, l must deal with it when I come back from London. (argh, ignore above rant) Right, off to swimming with DGS xxxx0
