Oh Freespirit I'm getting nowhere fast :( lost a mammoth catch up post on here last night too. These blooming things are sent to try me! I'm going to try and repost which may take some time. I'm officially still at the decorating tho I'm finding it a bit of a struggle and 'people' seem to think I can just paint the living room and still have the house in perfect order, I think your advice to Feisty and the spinning plates fits me perfectly at the moment. I'm on an enforced break from cake making due to DH saying I was taking too much on (if he noticed I must've been at boiling point) however I'd already booked in some that I couldn't really let down! Argh. So last one made for yesterday then he says have a break but family cakes are booked for 5th,11th and 27th so he's not happy :( I simply can not win :( rant over off for my shot of Christmas spirit xxx

Oh NANAMIA you sound so tired and fed up :( you must be shattered taking all that on, each on their own is a big enough job, you cant do it all on your own my lovely :) seen as you nagged me to go to drs, i am going to nag you to slow down and have some me time, one day of just thinking about yourself and not running around after everyone else :D i wish i was oop north to give you a hand :rotfl:i know how flipping annoying it is to lose your post i could throw my laptop across the room :( hope you get a good nights sleep tonight, sending you lots of fairy lights

Right my lovely peeps, I'm going to recreate last nights post that the iPad gremlin chose to wipe for me! Apologise for it being a day late, I've not even read up todays fun so I will try and do one job at a time :)

Choccymoose glad your car is sorted but aren't they a blooming drain on the bank balance! Still they make life so much easier :) xxx
Wuvvie I too was a nightmare as a teenager! I can only echo the very sound advice the lovelies have already given and add that in 20 years to come your DD will probably be going though the same thing with a stroppy teenager of her own and will know exactly how it feels :) Sometimes it's really tough being a Mum. I'm glad you've decided to concentrate on things that you can do something about, your Christmas plans, organising for when you'll be in hospital etc and your other LO. Sending hugs xxx
Pickleinapouch I love Linkys she's such a clever clogs :) and what a lovely idea to send out invites to your Christmas lunch x
Mojoworking sending hugs and twinkling fairy lights straight to you xxx
Pinknfluffy so pleased your Mum is ok :) Your trips do sound magical xxx
Mandco ooh your poor LO :( and getting a run of bad news, I'm really hoping that this week things will turn around for you and something's will make you smile :) Stick with us, usually somebody has something that'll put a smile on your face and believe you me we've been through some tough times together on here this year but we've had some giggles too xxx
Flowfy wow sounds like great excitement ahead with your DS busy but worth it :) How on earth do you manage to fit everything in? X
Debndot it's no blooming wonder you are fed up with a FiL like that around! It's a good job it's only once a year, have you started a countdown till he goes back? xxx
Quidsy you are doing so well, that was a great bargain for your Mums pressie :) xx
Princess I really hope you are feeling better and that the long drive wasn't too horrific. Hope you've had fun and been able to do something festive (not bathroomy) xxx
Jemtom you mustn't feel that you've got to read everything to catch up, just pop your head in and post when you can :) I do hope you've managed to catch up on some sleep :) xxx
Spendless and Whitesatin wishing you both a very happy belated birthday, I'm so sorry it's late I lost my post last night xxx
Nitnurse Thank you for the wilkinsons tip, I was in there on Thursday and they were clearing shelves so must've been getting ready :) xxx

  • Glad someones mentioned the library as I wanted to rave about rediscovering how great it is these days. I was buying the secondhand books for 1p from Amazon but got rather a lot now. Anyone who hasn't been to the library for a long time, check it out:D

Those wanting something different in December, now is a really good time to look for cheap rooms at Travelodge and Premier Inn. We're popping over to Hampshire to do the Christmas Peppa Pig World and Winchester Christmas Market. Have booked our rooms for the weekend so that's all sorted.

Going to Co Op tomorrow so will report any good bargains;)

Ellie well done on your shopping, what were the fleeces like in primark, were they all £10? Did you notice any Christmas bedding? I would love to take DGD2 to Peppa World but it's way too far, bet it's magical at Christmas xxx
Kaya I know it's a silly question but are they Yankee candles in asda? These lovelies have got me needing to try some! :) xxx
Bargain bunny there were lots of children's jumpers sweatshirts etc with Christmas themes in primark hth x
Murie you do make me smile, the way I'm going that blooming room will never be Marvelous Darling, more like faulty towers! xxx
Linky I just love it. Wow it's going to look fab, sorry when we were chatting the other day I had in my head that you'd a Christmas village oho nothing new there I'm mixed up its a forest you ended up with xxx

Alja I'm really pleased you are doing so well :) are you driving too? xxx
Pinknfluffy oh my lovely hope you got into your pjs at a reasonable time :) I think the suggestions are amazing and definetely over the top, go for it. The LOs will love it, imagine their faces :) xxx
Feisty I can identity with you and DH argh last week my DH ordered a fishing rod from ebay forgetting to mention it to me for 24 hours, thus meaning I hadn't transferred any cash into our current account ! Therefore the direct debits for gas and electric bounced, leaving us two bank charges, it was a bargain so he said argh I could've screamed. Men indeed xxx
Mrsinvisible sounded so lovely your description of early Sunday morning in the Lake District and then what do you do blooming spoil it with a car wash!!! Was it more than besties tornament this weekend? xxx
Chrissy I think it's perfectly natural for DD to feel a little apprehensive about starting the new course tomorrow, any body would and with what she's been through even more so. I hope this is the start of a new and very happy chapter for you all :) You so did the right thing. And the house going through so quickly with no chain that's brill. When you first wrote your signature did you really think you'd get it all done in one year, are you going to set yourself a new challenge now for the remaining three months of 2013 or have a well earned break? xxx
Murie how clever of your DD and her friends :) xxx
Linky ouch pulling your back, it's so easily done picking up littles ones but doesn't half hurt :( Hope Robbie is feeling more like himself now. How did you "deer mounting" go, we don't call you Kinky Linky for nothing xxx
Crowdpleaser aww now that is a good idea, doing a practise sleigh, I may have to borrow that idea x
Msgigglewick I'm so sorry, it wasn't till I clicked on your link that I realised I was on amaz@n as I'd put it in my wish list to remind me! Forgive me I think the paint fumes have gone to my head:( Well now you've had a peep through, shall I order? Is it worth it? xxx
0462 wow you are doing well, it's even better when you can see the change I think :) sometimes I've had no change on the scales but can see a difference myself. Woo hoo. Go girl. Peter Pan is one of my all time favourites hope you've all enjoyed it, Im with you Oooh look a bowl of juicy fruit!!! I didn't realise you were only in Bury, Bents yes that is magical, have you been to All in One garden centre that has a fab Christmas display too. I've made a note of the place you mentioned to google in the morning so thank you for that xxx
NCIS_fan wow you have managed to get a lot done :) xxx
Ameyturtle bless you, thank you for noticing :) I'm a bit bogged down at the moment sorry to be bringing everybody down. I'm just always playing catch up. Think I'm gonna have to get Linky to do a time and motion survey on me! I just can't seem to get everything done :( rant over. I'm like the advert grumpy cos I'm over tired haha xxx

Linky my lovely I have found my Christmas cards, nice pen (to write Christmas cards) and book with Christmas card list in. They are in a bundle next to my bed. I'm so far behind with everything that I've not managed to write them :( I have found some suitable duplo for DGD2 and added to my wish lists, I've also added them to camel camel in case the prices come down. I have purchase stamps both first, second and ones for Australia.
My list for this week is finish painting the blooming living room or I will be in an asylum and miss Christmas completely. And I will write those cards xxx
Feel as though I've let you down :( will try harder. And try to organise my time better. And say NO NO NO NO NO when anybody asks me to do anything this week till that room is done! My band of merry helpers are hopefully laying the laminate on Wednesday so my walls need to be done for that. DH is not complaining about wallpaper and one of my lovely neighbours is taking me to John Lewis on Wednesday to get a sample :) xxx

  • :santa2:Well kinda completed last weeks tasks, shallots are peeling and soaking in brine and lists have been started.:j

Yesterday was a very productive day. Sorted through bits hidden away in my room and sorted some bits for re gifting, checked which special cards I've already got and found only need 3 more. Autumn cleaned my room ready for xmas, washed walls, windows and everything within an inch of its life even got the curtains down and washed them :j

Bought a few chrimbo presents from Amazon so must add them to list.

Off to Lakeside today for day out with mum, hope to get a few more bits. Got to get teddies from card favtory for school xmas bazaar. Might have to sneak a couple of extras in. Their gingerbread man's gorgeous, really sweet and only £1.99:xmastree:
