  • Tasks for this week
    Finish shallots
Cook xmas cake, fruit been soaking for ages
Write food list, have bought a few non perishables but lying in bed last night suddenly remembered will need posh jam for xmas brecky, we normally have value.
  • Pinknfluffy - could you actually get them in the car in their uniforms etc as though it's a normal morning, with packed bags hidden in the boot, and then drive past their school, and onwards!

    I second this!

Oh Freespirit I'm getting nowhere fast :( lost a mammoth catch up post on here last night too. These blooming things are sent to try me! I'm going to try and repost which may take some time. I'm officially still at the decorating tho I'm finding it a bit of a struggle and 'people' seem to think I can just paint the living room and still have the house in perfect order, I think your advice to Feisty and the spinning plates fits me perfectly at the moment. I'm on an enforced break from cake making due to DH saying I was taking too much on (if he noticed I must've been at boiling point) however I'd already booked in some that I couldn't really let down! Argh. So last one made for yesterday then he says have a break but family cakes are booked for 5th,11th and 27th so he's not happy :( I simply can not win :( rant over off for my shot of Christmas spirit xxx

Nana, do not make me get in my car and drive up to physically re-strain you. The Nana kitchen is closed for cakes from 27th October - no arguing! Christmas bakes (in moderation) are fine (but only for you, not others) you nagged me into taking time for myself - which I am now doing, so now you need to do the same!

  • Yes me too! Wrapping paper on the wall lol. It seems extreme for bloody skegness but they have always wanted to go. We got such a good deal half board gold accommodation for under £200! Mind you its been booked since march ! I've just seen a Disney land announce on utube where they fill a box with clues, might do that: a little red coat, a bucket and spade, a toy fairground ride, that kind of thing! Too much?

Definitely not too much! That sounds brilliant.

Morning all, well I'm tired today :( DS1 wouldn't go to sleep til gone 10 when we went to bed and DS2 was up from 4:30! It's going to be a long day! Off to do the dreaded school run shortly :( but then meeting my best friend in town with our youngests as she is buying me a wetherspoons breakfast (it's our trade off for me driving us to the kids swimming lessons each week lol) will also have a nosey for the final stocking bits I need.

Nanamia - you sound down and stressed :( I always find decorating a stressful experience especially without having other things on. Try to do as Freespirit and fidget have said and give yourself a break! Hugs Xxx

    Pateroo - welcome :)

Crowd pleaser - ah what a shame bout the lighthouse, hope you find somewhere just as lovely

Have a good day all Xx

As you may know we have a surprise week at butlins booked for dds bdays, we go on the 8th. I'm not sure how to announce it though, dh wants to wait until the day when they are all dressed for school & then tell them. Im all for the leaving it until last min but I would like to announce it in fashion (its not quite Disneyland but to my dds this is kind of a dream holiday!) Any ideas would be welcome x

Ooh is this the 8th of October Pinknfluffy28? We go on the 7th for 4 nights :j For my DD's 3rd birthday :D
  • Oh my god I am so bleugh. Had to sit down in the loo roll aisle in tesco coz I thought I was gonna pass out.

Tesco hardly had any xmas lovelies in. I got a jar of mint sauce for yhe table and some matey bubblebath for xmas eve box.

Have just spoken to estate agent. Our chain is now complete and as most of us are ready we should be looking to exchange in around a months time! Completion soon after. Oh my giddy aunt.

I need to go anf unpack shopping. I might leave tins etc for dd2 who is 4 to put away when I pick her up at 12. Slave labour? X

I'd love to get involved with this popular thread but haven't fit the time to read it through to figure out what it's about. Can anyone summarise?? :o) xx

  • Right my plan for this week is to try and see what I have got people, see what friends I am doing cards and gifts for this year and start to tackle my uni work early lol.

Tomorrow I am having my bottom left wisdom tooth out, it has been bothering me for ages and I am hoping when it has gone maybe the migraines won't hurt as bad!
