  • ChrissyG, that's great news. We are stuck in chain hell at the moment!

Murie, you must be very proud! well done!

Well dd1 who is 5 came out of school and said she had a tummy ache. She does this a lot though and Im very much a 'if you ignore it they will forget about it' person. Anyway, was just on phone to dh saying dd1 didn't feel well when she got up looked very frightened and then was suddenly sick everywhere! Poor girl.

She says she feels a lot better now and looks better. The school insists on 48 hours off school though so nowt for her til Thursday now! Hopefully I can take one day off work and dh will take one.

Anyway, chrimbo wise Ive just ordered a cheap zhu zhu pets thing off Tesco to pick up Wednesday. dd2 has the attention span of a gnat so watching those daft things whizzing round should keep her amused for a bit!

God I hope she doesn't vom in bed tonight. Vom in bed has to be the worst! x

Am not looking forward to our first chain next year when we move :(

Your poor daughter :( Hope she feels better soon and doesn't vom in bed, because that would be awful!

OMO I am loving those deorations! My task for this week is to complete my tasks for last week :rotfl: oh and to wrap another 5 presents :)

Spoke to the lovely receptionist at the practice first thing who pointed out that they have done it to me countless times ;) She kept telling me not to worry and that it had all been sorted with no need to cancel patients :) I still gave them the 20% discount, so fingers crossed it smooths the way with irate dentist. Spoke to the bank also and have learnt that I will probably be paying about £180 in interest to have a 2k loan over a year (I want to settle sooner). Not ideal, but at least I feel more in control now.

You will all be very proud of me as I am vowing to stop 'work' every night by 6pm the latest (managed to finish at 5.30 today ;) ) I know I am putting too much pressure on myself, so need to learn to stop and relax

Re: Thomas Land, you know they do a Christmas event through December too- it looks amazing. I've heard the shop is ridiculous so intend to give DS some Thomas bits from Home Bargains etc in a goody bag when I eventually take him. My DS is only 2 at the moment and friends have told me he will be too little to go on the rides yet, so saving that til next year. Also looking forward to one of the "Days out with Thomas" next Summer. This year will be his first panto and poss Gullivers World :)

I'd love to go there when it's Christmas! We live in Wales though and don't drive so it was a job getting there Saturday (thankfully a friend drove but was still 3 hours each way). Definitely get Thomas stuff elsewhere it's ridiculous how much they charge! Oh I bet he'll love that, what a lucky boy your DS is :D

Sequeena - my DS was Thomas mad when he was little- we are lucky enough to have a railway museum nearby and we spent many sunday afternoons there whilst he ran round the trains (he is 23 now!)

That's fab. I'd never get mine out of there if we had one so close (or my OH actually!!)

Sequeena the £1shop sell Thomas DVDs, slightly cheaper than thomasland shop.

I've found 3 Thomas DVDs in the £1shop my OH and son were absolutely ecstatic so I'll look out for more. I've been told they have Thomas toothbrushes too so I'll keep an eye out for those as well.

RE trying to conceive... it took 2 years to conceive our son. The moment we stopped it happened - figure that one out :rotfl: I had a horrific pregnancy also (my waters broke at 14 weeks and I had very low fluid throughout) and Thomas' short life has been plagued by lots of illnesses but I'd do it all again. Keep the faith :money:

Whilst in Tesco I saw the quality street tins are now £4. Not our cup of tea but I'm sure someone will enjoy them :) B&M have loads of Christmas stuff in sure I saw mugs too, worth a look.

It's not Christmas related but today I met with my health visitor who is supporting us in our DLA claim for our son. She weighed him and he's plateaued at 26lbs 8oz (not gained for a month). Nothing to worry about yet but my child has a habit of dropping 2-3lbs over the course of a week so I need to keep an eye on him. I also met with a social worker who is part of a child disability team. She was so lovely. We're getting a portage worker soon and she's applying for all sorts of grants for us to get sensory equipment and the like. In my area we don't get 15 hours free nursery at 2 years old so they're going to see if they can fit Thomas in at an action for children nursery. It would be a massive help for us.

    .

I don't have any trouble getting pregnant mine is them trying to fall out to early. Waters went bang at 26 weeks with dd1, she arrived my emcs 10 days later. With dd2 I went into labour sporadically from 24 weeks. She hung fire til 36 weeks then decided enough was enough and emcs out she came. Needless to say I wouldn't do it again. I cant imagine the pain of having trouble conceiving though. Im not religious but it my one hope is that everyone who wants to be a parent, can be one.

    Much love x

Oh that must have been so distressing :( I was so lucky my waters went at 14 weeks but they sealed at 24 weeks and I went overdue. So so lucky.
