murie - congratulations on your dd wonderful achievement. Mine is in Warwick uni just starting her last year. I can imagine how proud you are.
I have achieved part of my weekly Christmas goal which is cooking 1 out of the 4 things for the Christmas freezer. had lots of housework to do today.
I am a bit angry with myself as I bought a box of Tesco iced mince pies yesterday and dh had one, and now there is none left. have been scoffing them throughout the day when I have had a cup of tea.
you may be interested to know that whilst I do my housework, I am listening to Christmas carols
hoping to do some or all of the advent calendar tonight but also have a pile of ironing a mile high, so might try and do 50/50 and split it over tomorrow night.
2 of the ebay presents have come today so might get wrapping tomozz or weds.
weds night is always crazy as I have to take ds to 3 musical groups in one night, so I have to pace myself a bit.0 -
Well christmas peeps my 10yr old son has been ill over the weekend. He had an horrendous temperature that was still over 39 after calpol and ibuprofen so took him to gps today and he has got a bad case of strep throat. he had this 3 years ago but ended up hospitalised with scarlet fever from it. He is now lay on the couch fully dosed up watching tv. No school for him this week so not much wrapping being done here.
OMO- my task for this week is to clear out the kids toys and clothes. I am going to get rid of broken/old toys and put summer clothes away and give away any clothes/shoes that are too small.
Also I am going to write my special christmas cards x0 -

Nanamia - well done on the weight loss, I remember being in that range once, I used to be a sw consultant when I was my lowest weight but had to give up as it didn't fit in with work and the weight slowly crept back on.must get back on the wagon as want to lose 4 stone!

freespirit66- we are on very dangerous ground. I am making brownies for my friend, later this week. I always think the outer ones aren't as nice and I won't give her them so I am hoping to resist.
also. promised dh that I will make mary berrys mince pie loaf, this weekend, as he loved it last year. I hope that lasts till he gets home
I would eat the walnut whips.....they are going to call to you, until you do. just get it out of the way!!!0 -
Hello all, you all sound very organised. I will have to write some lists this week. Got other things to do, still to pack hospital bag and 37 weeks pregnant now so going to send son to childminders for a day tomorrow I think.
Re: Thomas Land, you know they do a Christmas event through December too- it looks amazing. I've heard the shop is ridiculous so intend to give DS some Thomas bits from Home Bargains etc in a goody bag when I eventually take him. My DS is only 2 at the moment and friends have told me he will be too little to go on the rides yet, so saving that til next year. Also looking forward to one of the "Days out with Thomas" next Summer. This year will be his first panto and poss Gullivers World2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Back from hospital apt with sis- as usual nothing new- she went over her cholesterol levels and ended up being referred for an x-ray on her spine! She's feeling understandably frustrated.
Nanamia- well done you 'Skinny' on the weight loss-must take some mighty determination to go it alone and succeed!
Pinksteps- glad you got CTC sorted- you can breathe now and have a cup of coffee-bet your heart was pumping like mad!
Sequeena - my DS was Thomas mad when he was little- we are lucky enough to have a railway museum nearby and we spent many sunday afternoons there whilst he ran round the trains (he is 23 now!)
Pinksteps- argh- DONT post Hobbycraft links!!! I NEED to go and spend millions of pounds in there now!!! (will content myself with drooling over the glittery stuff. Did anyone spot the stag decoupage heads at £15 (on 3-4-2)- I never decoupaged before but I am very very tempted.................
04624181-hope your DS feels better soon. I remember my DD had scarlet fever when she was 6- she went all flaky and scaly afterwards like sandpaper-at that point when she was poorly she used to rub her hand up and down my arm when we cuddled-it was like being sandblasted!
Flowfy -thank you. Is ur DD enjoying Warwick so far? My DD wants Birmingham. She wants to live in-and I'm heartbroken at the thought-even though its only a 20 min drive away! I just gotta suck it up! I was spoiled cus DS lived at home (still does) whilst at uni.lovin' this site!

Kelly7 I do hope that the Christmas DVD was enough to refresh your Christmas spirit, sending twinkling fairy lights your way, stick with us though cos it's addictive xxx
Thank you for the twinkling lights nanamia, those and the DVD have definitely helped! I decided to watched elf, it's one of my favs
04624181 - it definitely helped. I think I might just have to watch another one tonight! Haha
Had a little wander uptown today after work. I live in a fairly small town so it didn't take long but was pleased to see boots & superdrug were beginning to put out there Christmas stock. Card factory had a few nice things too but not a huge amount out yet.
Hope everyone is ok. Hugs to all.0
