My Silhouette Cameo arrived this morning and I am already in a bad mood with it because there is no trace of the 50 free icons that are supposed to come with the software! :-(0

Thanks Debndot - found out that I have to connect the Cameo to the computer, not just load the software! D'oh! Calm has been restored.
This is my first foray into papercutting - so it will either be the craft I actually stick with and get really good at (can do everything, but am not AMAZING at anything as get easily distracted by other crafts...) or it will end up on ebay too!
Thanks to everyone on here for listening to me. I fully intend to make time to address everyone else's posts soon - rather than just asking questions. This is an amazing thread with some lovely people and is all warm and cosy - just like Christmas. :-)0 -
well we are back - i ended up getting there for just after 8am and she was almost packed , the staff were put out i was early i knew they had misunderstood me last night when i said we would be gone by 10 and she said we will see you at 10 .
They hurriedly got various college staff to come to *discuss* things and all of a sudden a ground floor room was available but dd was emotionally done by then.
We had to set up a s/o for £200 a month to cover her pocket money and any other expenses but apparently they cant just transfer it back to the bank account it has to come by bloody cheque.
BUT- all is well now she must not have slept at all in the last 2 days cos she is fast asleep in bed and the dog is spark out next to her.
Thanks for all the support you have all given me its very much appreciated. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hey everyone, I'm new to this thread but love Christmas so thought this is the place to be.
Being 27 and still in part time education at uni I've had to start my shopping early as I have a teaching placement starting in October for 7 weeks (Talk about bad timing!) which is not only leaving me short of money but also without a permanent job. I was unable to get a school job so am hoping I can get some supply work in before placement.
I started my shopping in July on holiday when I picked up a few souvenirs that I thought would make slightly different presents. I managed to find a few other small things since I've been back and so I'm at a point where just about all the shopping is doneSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Hi All. Well I joined this forum last year so I thought it was about time I re-joined this year. I've started getting last years magazines out for a look through - haven't seen any for this year yet - if I remember they usually come out end of September beginning of October. Does anyone know yet whether the annuals have come out in Argos? I have seen them BOGOHP in WH Smith but wondered if they were out in Argos x0

Don't feel bad for feeling bad - your issues are very real to you. No one else is experiencing them, and you have every right to let them take their toll - DO NOT feel guilty for feeling this way! There is enough guilt being dished out in life without you lining up for seconds!
Nana We had an unexpected call direct from Mr Feistys consultant yesterday. He wanted him to go in ASAP for a review and another scan - we were expecting an appointment in a few weeks, but he said to come up tomorrow (today) and although he is in formal meetings, the receptionist would have to get him out once Mr Feisty has arrived, he will then 'rustle up' a radiographer to xray him too! Something tells me either they have an inkling we are going down the legal route, or the official letter of complaint has just landed on the consultants desk - I had my shop meetings lined up (2!) so luckily the in laws will takeyou are very sweet! Yayy at last somethings happening for DH good luck and best wishes for DH and for you in your meetings today x

What a worry for you Chrissy, I hope she is ok, sounds like shes i exhausted - I hope things settle down, you have done the right thing :-) xxxx
was meant to be my day off today but spent half of it ringing the bank and my original job as the money was due in today they assured me from the rerun from the end of Aug when I lost half my pay in tax ...still not there! washed, ironed, photographed and listed a load of stuff on ebay to try and boost funds, then spent half an hour on phone to school re the 6th form dress code which is a little OTT to say the least! MUST be business suit but if a dress it MUST match EXACTLY the fabric of the jacket - I explained my daughter is tall and slim with very long legs, which means any dress or skirt that I can find that matches a jacket is too short in the leg to adhere to dress code etc, driving me crazy! surely smart business is fine, why does the fabric have to match EXACTLY? no print dresses allowed with the jacket, whereas they look so smart and every office Ive ever been in has everyone wearing them - Im all for dress codes but this is in my view becoming rather too rigid and Im going to have to end up buying her another 2 suits!
I reeeeeeeally need that Magners!! will save it for when I finish work at 10pm tomorrow and have it then I think0 -
Hi all,
I've been lurking on this thread for a while and thought i should finally pluck up the courage to post as you seem like a lovely, funny & welcoming lot (have is sucked up enough yet ;-)
I am just getting started on Christmas, i brought my first present today. The pointless quiz book from the works £1 for £7.99 for my OH.
It's my sons birthday on tuesday, he's going to be 7 so as soon as that is done (ie weds morning) i am going to my local b&m and going to stock up on some bits and bobs.
Really like the idea of making hampers this year, my family (parents etc) are fussy and i have in the past ended up spending £50 each:eek::eek: it's not really appreciated though they tend to dictate what they want, in my dads case it's always expensive:( well not this year i've told him he can have a homemade xmas cake and some ale...he there retaliated with 'you won't want a xmas present off me then!!!!'horrid...i'm saving for my wedding next year so i can't justify going mad...and to be honest i don't want to, since finding this site i've turned very thrifty!:j
Anyway i'm mega excited about Christmas this year:D:jDon't tell me this nothing...this is my nothing0
