he's Thomas mad. Coincidentally his name is also Thomas :rotfl:
Recent purchases for my LO have been an easy go remote control Thomas (won on ebay £15.60), a transport lift out jigsaw that has sound (home bargains £5.99), box of chunky chalk (home bargains 99p) and mog on fox night book (£1.50 from amazon).
B&M have some Christmas bits outthey also have their Halloween stuff out, I'm so excited. I'm dressing Thomas as the milkybar kid this year.

Ellie9ellie- i love the Christmas mags, just ordered a craft one, couldn't tell you which one got a bit excited it was a Christmas edition and ordered, don't even know when it will come, might check that
Mrs giglewick - they are great, you must have patience to make them though
Snugglebunny- the ebay charges are ridiculous, i am terrible for not checking postage when i list things, i sold a few bits last week and most of the items cost me far more for the postage than the total i sold them for, whoops, must check in future.
Fiesty - i do hope dh gets his appointment through quick, your Facebook page is fab, you make some lovely bits, i will be sorting some pennies and contacting you soon
I got another present for ds for the stash from b&m and managed to get 2 pretty black and pink baskets and bits to fill them to make a pamper hamper and movie hamper for birthday presents, less than £10 each for basket and contents so happy with that and a Halloween window light and hanger may have fallen into the basket, they have started to get the Christmas bits out but mainly wrapping and bags so far.0 -
I have to share my excitement - just came back from Mr T food shopping and there is a half aisle of xmas chocs
Chocolate coins (75p or 2 for £1), the tubes of sweeties, £5 tins of roses/heroes/celebrations and the packets of mini lindt balls/wishes etc. I *almost* did a little happy dance.
Also popped into The Range yesterday - they have Halloween stuff out but not Christmas yet but I would have though it won't be long.0 -
Just spent a really lovely morning at a car boot sale with ds. He just loves looking at stuff.
I bought his Christmas present there, but he is having it now.
I got him -
A new carp rod £18
A new reel £15 ( priced up at £17)
A box of 3 things £5 ( ds knows what they are) :rotfl:
2 bar mats to use as hand towels £2
and the man through in some alarm hooks.
All came to £40
I am really pleased as he can be so hard to buy for. I least I know that this will get lots of use.
I don't mind him having it now, as he will remember he has had it. Dd always forgets if she has something early and still expects the same as usual on the day.
He saw a sign saying there was another one tomorrow, and I have a feeling I will be up at the crack of dawn and in a field by 9 in the morning. :rotfl:0 -
Picked up a few more bits for my son today
I got the ikea toy pots and pans and utensils so that's those off my list. I was going to get the play food but think I'll prefer wooden food for him. I also got a star projector thing in B&M for £2.49. He needs a night light but I thought this would provide some sensory play for him too
Also got a pumpkin bucket for Halloween 79p in B&MWife and mother :jGrocery budget

managed to get some bits for ds xmas eve hamper angry birds mug & onesie for a bargin price of £5.99 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1036657.htm
really not happy with asda ordered so items for instore delivery which they managed to lose when they finally turned up 2 were not what I'd actually ordered and 2 more boxes were all dented as the items were on sale no more stock available so a choice of keep them or get a refund as its for mine I know they wont be worried about the state of the packaging so kept them but had it been for a gift no way  I emailed a complaint to customer services and was told I'd hear back in 1-2 working days still waiting a wk later
on a good note sorting out the youngest's bday pressies and got a lot more that I thought so quite a few will be rolled over to xmas :T
sainsburys are reducing alot of the back to school stationary lots of moshi moster & hello kitty for around £1 also had some 75% reductions on selected baby toys mostly own brand type
fiesty sorry things didn't go to plan with the docs yesterday but at least things seem to be moving forward not soon enough but at least its a start. hope the fair went ok and you weren't out of pocket as most people would have cancelled rather than consider the other person
chrissyg sorry things didn't work out for dd you have to do whats right and obviously with what happened it wasn't the right time or place
princesskitty some great buys there. I think its great you do the shoeboxes I donate to my local charity which ever is running a xmas appeal usually domestic violencethis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0
