  • pinknfluffy - I'm really glad to hear they've finally diagnosed you, it may be some time before it's controlled properly but you must be so relieved they've acknowledged it and you are getting treatment now. x

pinksteps - I haven't made fudge before but would like to make some this Christmas, please let us know how you get on with the no-cook fudge.

Thanks Nanamia, I have settled in well. It's very busy but I work with a great bunch of people which makes it easier.

freespirit you must tell someone about your pain! You shouldn't suffer in silence and it's worth getting checked out just in case. I don't often tell people to do things on here but it's only because I care and don't liek to hear about people suffering. :)

Hi junior_j :hello: welcome! I won't pry but I hope you're ok and don't have to spend too much time in hospital. May this Christmas be much better for you!

CHRISSY i'm so sorry to hear about your DD. Don't worry about what people say, you have to do what's right for her. You're her mum and you know better than anyone, it's not worth her getting ill over. x

Feisty i'm really glad to hear the hospital are finally calling him in - and not before time!

Snugglebunny what a nighmare with your pay! It's good to hear they're sorting it out but what a pain for you. I do hope it's not too much of a struggle for you. x
  • I am making my monthly trip to Home Bargains today, going to try to get some more Christmas pressies to stash away - really looking forward to it! :T
  • Have fun princesskitty! and thank you honey, just wish it wasnt 3 weeks til hubbys payday, even though I sort all the finances he gets a little irritated if I say I dont have enough to cover everything :-(

was so fed up I treated myself to a Magners with the change in my purse, will have half after work tomorrow and half after work sunday :-D Big Boozer! maybe I should have bought a Lottery Ticket but they dont taste as nice  shouldnt have done but sod it!

    Hi guys!

Any chance I can join in on this lovely thread?

I am 21 and last year I spent most of November up until 4pm on Christmas Eve in hospital! So last Xmas wasn't very Christmassy for me or my family! Luckily this year out of the 5 hospital stays I've had , 2 weeks is the longest they've kept me!

I want to be well prepared for this year!

    :) speak soon!

    Jess xx

Welcome xx You are now an official member of what is most definatly the best thread in the world (until we start next years that is!)

Feisty - so pleased to hear things seem to be progressing. Big hugs x

Thankyou all for the lovely kind words, It has taken years, but finally we have some help. Everything makes sense now, and although I am prepared for it taking months or years to control completely, just knowing that it is real, not in my head, and not really "me" it makes the fight much much easier to tolerate. Without the unconditional love and support of my amazing dh though I really dont know where I would be. I have made a point of telling him daily I love him, and doing little things just to show how much I appreciate him. I have started a new diary as suggested by doc, and marked the "zone" days down for the next 3 months, and beside each of those days I have wrote one good thing about my life and the plan is (according to doc) that by reading them on my bad days, it will just remind me how I really feel!

Dh should be home in the next hour or so and we are off to the local retail park - huge home bargs and even huger the range! Yipee! Will try and get back on later with any christmas finds :rudolf:

  • snuggle bunny - yankee candles! Argh my bank account is about to take a battering mmmm marshmallow!

Omo - I am waiting (almost patiently) for your 100 day countdown to begin!

Chrissyg - sending you big virtual hugs x

Msgigglewick - you must post us a pic of your elf!

Free spirit - aw hunny I feel for you. Get back to the doctors, make them listen! Big hugs x

princess kitty - Me Too! Im hoping to find some bits for stocking fillers and bits to put in the advent calender, or for elves to bring! Have fun

Sorry to "thread hog" but have just finished catching up, and wanted to try out the word reply idea! makes life so much easier, and hopefully means I havent missed anyone x

pinknfluffy As you are sitting so patiently I will give you a sneak preview (don't tell the others:rotfl:)
You don't have to do anything yet (you still have 9.5 days to go) but we will be starting at the very beginning - with lists.
You may think you have everything you need to do or buy in a list already. But do you ? :D

My list of lists is long :rotfl:
