I love reading all your news and tips and really want to reply but even though I pop in and read every day, I just don't seem to be able to remember who said what once I've moved on a page or what it was that I was going to say. It seems to me that some of you have it down to a fine art (Nanamia, freespirit, OMO and others I think you might recognise yourselves here) so any tips would be very much appreciated so I can join in more :D. I was thinking of maybe writing replies out in Word as I go through and then copying and pasting them all together - does anyone else do this?
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

You can quote 3 posts by pressing the speech bubbles. It makes replying much easier.
(Press it on 3 posts then press reply on the last page)
Just keep posting until you have replied to all the post you want to .

  • Oh bunbun that doesn't sound very nice, I hope it subsides soon. x

freespirit i'm afraid i'm not sure about joint pain, but I do hope it isn't something you get on an on going basis. Have you had it looked at?

Thanks for the Yankee candle update snugglebunny, I have some stashed upstairs that I bought in the sales and i'm itching to use them! I can't remember exactly what they're called but they are Christmassy ones! :T

Just wanted to say I am feeling a lot more cheerful today! I think I might treat myself to some of the Yankee Candle tarts as I bought a poinsettia burner and forgot to use it last year!

DS's presents on order after his birthday and then I can think Christmas....

  • Peppapig. I always do replies on word as I can't remember stuff either. Works for me, especially if I have to stop to do something else then I can save it.
    xx
Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j

  • Havent had chance for a proper catch up yet, but just wanted to update on the docs situation. DH and I were all prepared, note book, loads of print outs, list of symptoms, my diary of events etc. We got lucky, the lovely female doctor was familiar with PMDD, and spent 35 minutes talking about my symptoms, checking over my diary, taking blood pressure etc etc. She asked dh lots of questions, and he was brutally honest, I sobbed yet again as i listened to what I was putting him and our beautiful children through.
Anyways, bottom line, doc is also convinced I am a genuine sufferer of PMDD. I have been put on a very low dose of anti-d's, taken all through the month which should help regulate and control hormones. We were warned this wont go away over night, and it could take months to find a medication and dosage which is right for me, but I have a diagnosis, and above all, the support of my amazing husband.
Thankyou all for advice and wishes, off to catch up now ... oh, and I am very very happy today!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Pink I've just logged on for your update - so glad you were taken seriously and that something is being done :)

I really hope that in time it helps your symptoms. When I had to take fertility drugs I went through a lot of what you describe, so you have my utmost sympathies xxx

  • I've spent the last half an hour reading through an old Christmas menu thread getting ideas and its still only September!!

Then having a look through the lovely links that omo added at the beginning of this thread I've decided this weekend I'm going to try the no-cook fudge. I would be interested if anyone has already made some.
