  • Chrissyg please forgive me if I have missed it, but is your DD in college? Memory is not cooperating! I am so sorry your DD is unsettled, I actually think you are doing the right thing in collecting her. You have given it plenty of time to try and get her to settle so now after her fall, she may just end up traumatized over the whole thing if you force her to stay :(

Junior - I'm so sorry last Christmas was so bad, you poor thing! Stick with us and you are sure to have a great one :)

freespirit peeked indeed?! I personally think you are an awesome person, and if (as you claim) you have peeked, then I can't get my head round just how amazing you must have been in your prime :) Don't feel bad for feeling bad - your issues are very real to you. No one else is experiencing them, and you have every right to let them take their toll - DO NOT feel guilty for feeling this way! There is enough guilt being dished out in life without you lining up for seconds!

Nana We had an unexpected call direct from Mr Feistys consultant yesterday. He wanted him to go in ASAP for a review and another scan - we were expecting an appointment in a few weeks, but he said to come up tomorrow (today) and although he is in formal meetings, the receptionist would have to get him out once Mr Feisty has arrived, he will then 'rustle up' a radiographer to xray him too! Something tells me either they have an inkling we are going down the legal route, or the official letter of complaint has just landed on the consultants desk - I had my shop meetings lined up (2!) so luckily the in laws will take Mr Feisty as he doesn't drive! Well done on getting those Xmas bits and flooring - OMO life will have been made a little easier ;)

OMO What a pain in the bum! I really hope it is quickly sorted!

  • regarding tax credits think they have done it to everyone. the first message on their automatated service says that if your child is 16 and your credits have stopped then it should be sorted within a week and you should receive a new letter with new amounts on.... mine goes in on a tuesday and so far no letter this week.. really really hope they stick to the week as this weeks been long enough with £60 down on what we usually struggle with!

  • Hope you enjoy the Ideal Home! was looking at the Christmas Show in London, may be at Olympia/Earls Court? but by the time Ive paid for train to London etc will be expensive so may go to the Festive Gift Show at the NEC as its closer, Ive never been to a Christmas show before and always meant to, so going to try and go this year - tickets are 8.50 which is pretty good, and they have decorations, food, music etc so sounds like may be fun! I may get my hot chocolate and jingle bells treat!

You could alway try and win some tickets on the comping board - always lots of comps for them...some up now...I won four lots last year!
  • christmas wise......... i've made one elf up, hopefully doing the second one this morning after housework!!! not been motivated enough to sort out the xmas cupboard yet but need too as the corner of my bedroom is looking like amazons warehouse atm lol

Its great going around town just to see who's started to sneak in christmas products already lol

well its all gone wrong big time , after another distraught phone call yesterday she agreed to give it a week to see how things go then at 10 last night another even more distraught call she had fallen down some stairs I]the stairs the she shouldn't have had to use had the promised ground floor room materialized as promised ![/I

now i know im going to get slated from all angles but im picking her up today , i know her and theres no way she is going to settle she is so unhappy her acid reflux has started again.

I have spoken to the staff on each occasion she's called and im less than impressed with their attitude

I would have done exactly the same thing. :)

If anyone says anything tell 'em to !!!! Off . Staying was putting health at risk.

Things like this really annoy me. Why don't they say in the letter they send you asking to inform them !
I am lucky I get paid weekly, but I bet this has put some families in real hardship.

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Nanamia I am super excited now, I couldn't sleep last night so I just got up and ironed. I didn't get a photo unfortunately, I didn't even think of it! The Manchester Christmas show is this one here at what used to be the G-Mex, I'll definitely be going too :D

FreeSpirit I hope your aches and pains get better soon. Get to the doctor again if they carry on, 3 months is a long time to live with it. I know you feel like you're wasting their time sometimes but it's what they're there for! You wouldn't believe some of the things my OH goes to the doctors with. :rotfl:

Jess Welcome to the thread, I hope this Christmas is a lot more Christmassy for you! Thanks to this thread I've been feeling Christmassy since about June :rotfl:

ChrissyG I'm so sorry to hear it's not really happening for your DD.You can only try these things and if they don't work out they don't work out.

Feisty it's good to hear that things seem to be progressing re.Mr Feisty and they're taking it seriously.

thanks for the suggesting to win tickets, will go have a look! x

I agree that it is terrible to mess with peoples tax credit dates etc, the majority of people know what money is going in on what dates and work their finances, bills etc around it, money not going in causes most people a big problem and that is not fair at all, hope they get it sorted fast and your money goes in.

My 2nd job paid me today and Im a big chunk down on what I expected, found out its because when the TO put my first job back to Wk 1 tax code as I was overtaxed on cumulative (half my salary!) last month they also changed my 2nd job to Wk 1 which needs to be cumulative, so didnt get the rebate for my emergency tax code last month plus Ive been taxed on this months ... thankfully very helpful lady explained if one is changed the other has to be, so both now changed back to cumulative codes ... will get the tax back next month on my 2nd job but assume will also pay more now on my first job! I know I will get it back but its in another 4 wereks time and I really needed the money this month not next month, as had big bill to pay and now Im struggling to pay everything this month

all down to fact Ive joined one job part way through tax year and the first job I earned almost all of what I will earn in the first half!

trust me to make it complicated!
