  • Morning, everyone, wow, OMO, neighbours from Hell, GP from planet Zog, Environmental Health Manyana department, what joy not.
Pinknfluffy, yes, you need to print off the symptoms and highlight those which you have, I have found that just sitting in the chair and not standing up to go when the GP thinks its over works well, they have to ask if theres anything else and you just say no but I am unwilling to go as I don't feel you are taking this seriously, what do you propose doing to help me overcome these symptoms?
(or words to that effect). It is your right to have a second opinion, and an appointment with gynae or endocrinologist would be beneficial.
We have a Dunelm but its not very good, and well disorganised (lovely helpful staff, though),
I should declutter too, but I seem to just redistribute stuff around the house. Maybe we will invade the hoarders board en masse, (today, the hoarders, tomorrow the world)! if I get out of bed, that is.
Chrissy, thinking about you, hope it went well. xxx

    Chrissy, hope all is well?

pinknfluffly - gynae problems are unfortunately not taken seriously by the NHS (on the whole) do as the other lovely ladies have suggested and if no joy move onto pals - threaten with reporting to the CCG (I think these guys have taken over from PCT) and generally you will find the doctors actually do something. I have to say that healthcare is one of the only things I will pluck my courage up to complain about (albeit by email ;))

Have been offered an established business for £5000 that sells shabby chic furniture and home-wares - the stock alone is worth more than that, the couple are retiring and want shot of it - am so tempted, but that would the deposit gone! Rent is about £500 a month and electric is on a meter. Also my own handmade items would fit in really well - such a dilemma!

The house staff seem lovely and dd seemed to settle quickly and wasn't bothered when we left.

We went to Morrison 's when we got back they have bags of Haribo sweets for 50p ,we don't buy tins of sweets i tend to get bags when on offer ,needless to say i bought a few :Dlol.

chrissy I am so pleased that yesterday went well for you and DD

freespirit hope your migraine is better. they really are horrible things and 3 in 5 days is so debilitating.

feisty the shop sounds fab but I can understand your dilemma.

well day one of the new term and the boys were already late getting out of the house. not a good way to start the new term by shouting at them to hurry up.

  • Wow Feisty - sounds like a great opportunity. Sounds like you have a lot of thinking to do though! It would be a great outlet for your talent though. I am a great believer in 'rather regret doing something that regret not doing something' - but then again I can be awfully spontaneous and often act without thinking things through first! Let us know what you decide - we are all behind you either way.

    I am calm. :D

Got a letter from the doctor asking me to go in for a blood test.

I phone them back, ' I had the said blood test last Wednesday.'

' Oh yes, I'll put you through to the results nurse.'

    Results Nurse
' Yes we have your results, but you will have to have the test done again as the nurse didn't put your date of birth on the blood'

' But you know it was me, you wrote to me, and I have phoned you !'

'Yes, but we can't give these results out. You will need to have it done again.'

    Back to receptionist
' Can I make an appointment for a blood test next Wednesday morning please'

' We don't take blood on a Wednesday.'

' You took mine last Wednesday, but no D.O.B was put on them'

' No we didn't, we don't take blood on a Wednesday'

' Before you accuse me of LYING again, would you like to check my notes  '

' Oh yes, you did have them taken last Wednesday, that's what happens when you let someone unqualified take you blood. They muck it up :rotfl: '

' I did not let someone unqualified take my blood, YOU DID '

    Phone down
    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: OMFG! what a nightmare!!
  • afternoon all!

PinknFluffy poor you, that sounds awful and very frustrating when they dont take it seriously, I agree a diary would be an excellent idea and taking somebody with you who witnesses your symptoms would help and also two of you to put your feet down if they try and dismiss it might really help, good luck! xx

    Interesting opportunity Feisty!

If anyone should happen to see either Cadburys Chocolate Coins or Butterscotch flavour Candy Canes on their travels please would you mind letting me know? thanks! seems to remember Asda had Cadbury coins last year but can't usually find them
