    Xmas Saver!
    And relax:)

What a pain in the rear for you, hope they do the honourable thing for you, you have had enough on your plate.

I have calmed down and made another appointment for Monday morning before I go to work.

    On the neighbours subject-

Today I phoned environmental health, to be told that someone should have come out last night. The lady was very apologetic and gave me a direct number to ring if they start again tonight.

I don't think that will happen, they are obviously finished, I can hear the water feature from inside my lounge.

I also phoned council housing who are going to contact them about doing it so late.

And finally I contacted benefit fraud. He is not supposed to live there. He took the youngest boy and moved into a flat around the corner last year. So they are meant to be 2 single parents both with one child.

So, since they moved in they have -

Been reported for running a business from a council property. ( he mended cars on the front garden) ( lady across the road reported that)

Had an ASBO served on them ( well her, he doesn't live there) for having parties in the front garden. ( their other next door neighbour reported that)

He has lost his driving license for drink driving. ( after they had a big fight here and her sister phoned the police because he hit her, then drove home)

They have now been reported for benefit fraud.

I very much doubt they will think it is me. When ever they have annoyed me before I have always gone round there and told them.

I really wish I could live in the middle of a field and have no neighbours.

Went to my local Dunelm (Radcliffe) today to check out the Christmas stock.

They had (although not in one display, scattered all over the shop)

    Crackers
    Wrapping paper
    Lights
Artificial flowers (poinsettias, glittery things etc)
    Fleece blankets (6.99)
Hand towels (they were not with the towels but by where all the kids chairs and storage things are)

Forgot to look for the cushions though!
  • Nanamia-.:hello: I noticed your name there as I am also on the hoarding thread and they are all lovely:D

Own my own. A neighbour of ours decided to demolish a 6 foot brick wall after midnight a while back:eek::eek::eek: there is always something "mad" going on in this street..............Wheely bin races on Bank holiday Monday.:(:(
Three piece suites being put in the front street on hot summer days:eek:

    Anyway....

No Dunelm here:( I thought we had one but it’s Ponden. There is a great linen shop down the high street that does nice Christmas stuff. Going to do the bathroom this year as a surprise for everyone. Never done it before so a little shopping trip is in the schedule

:o:o Don't mention this on the clutter thread Nanamia. I'm supposed to be "thinning out":rotfl::rotfl:

Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
    Loving de-cluttering

Alja hiya my lovely, I've been playing catch up the last couple of days too. It's getting ever so festive on here :)
Brain isn't really working at the mo but Mr T had some nice savoury crackers which I thought looked posh, and would consider a treat. Maybe with some nice cheese and pickle type things?

It's lovely reading through! That type of thing would be perfect! I'll have to look out for the crackers then :) thank you!

A lot depends on what they like. When I did this one year my starting point was getting 1 level up from what they normally used eg if they normally had Mr T own brand coffee then I got them the nice ones from Nescafe (Parisene or something like that) and biscuits became Mr T finest or Duchy Originals etc or things like these which are very yummy http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=277968726

Oh those truffles look great! Thank you! They're not too fussy thankfully, and I'm sure they'll appreciate anything I put in it really (which is always a bonus!). I'll have to get writing a list of all these ideas ready for a trip to Mr T! :)

thank you for all your welcome backs, I am very touched. in my quest to be more thifty I joined another thread. they claim to be so welcoming to newcomers and maybe it's just me being oversensitive but i have found it so hard to become part of the group. i get the odd reply to my posts but still feel an outsider. maybe my posts are just too boring:D back to lurking I think.

I now hae everything ready for school tomorrow. i have bought iron on name labels but when they have gone I just use a pen. Never have I bought sew on ones, with my sewing speed they would take me forever!

gettingtherequickly wow that is an amazing amount of money to have saved:T
pinksteps sorry you are having hassles with decorators.

pinknfluffy I hope you get some answers at the drs. is it worth printing off the list of symptoms and showing how many you have? If the gp hasn't heard of it or not very understanding it may be helpful to have it written down. I hadn't heard of it so googled it, poor you suffering that every month. good luck

chrissy hope you and dd are Ok today

OMO sorry to hear about your neighbours. some people are so inconsiderate:mad: good for you for reporting them for benefit fraud

bunty it is my ds1's birthday next week too. I am sort of organised for it!

snugglebunny I will have to look out for the Christmas yankee candles. I bought a couple of Christmas ones in the jan sale for my mum and MIL but don't know which ones they are.

nanamia /nitnurse I think i should join the hoarding thread. I have piles of things everywhere!

Freespirit hope you are feeling better my lovely. I've been doing smaller posts too, since hearing of people loosing them. Linky made me chuckle too although it wasn't funny at the time was it! I've ventured out onto the hoarding thread. I'm on a mission to declutter this blooming house, up to now only friendly posters :) think I'm pretty safe on there (I hope) also lurking on the flylady thread. Every evening I think I will jump back on the wagon tomorrow - although tomorrow never comes!
NANAMIA ohh i have had another migraine today :eek:that is 3 in 5 days now, i must be stressed about something deep down, i must have a nosey at the hoarding thread, since my ex went i have decluttered so much (still tons to go) but it is so therapeutic, im glad they have been friendly to you, i feel so sorry for some people, all they have done is post something and they get told off for it being in the wrong place, or for having an opinion oooh to scary for me, flying hasnt been brilliant this week but i know just doing bits here and there make a huge difference so im not going to beat myself up about it :) Hope you are well x
