Been looking for somewhere to chat about Christmas presents after reading some other threads.

Today in HB I found a metal tin that has all pics of cosmetics on. Bought it for £2.49 and intend filling it with make up and beauty samples, bits bought from Boots coupons, freebies off of womens mags etc. Content and value will depend on whether I gave it to daughter (10) neice (12) or neice (22). Depends what I find.;)

Also picked up a set of microfibre cloths and brushes for washing car for my Dad who is notoriously difficult to buy for, but does take pride in washing his car!

Was tempted by a 1D fleece blanket but had already been talked into new quilt cover by DD and refused to buy a 1D microphone at what I considered a whacking £12! She may not even like them at Christmas anyway - this time last year she liked Moshi Monsters!

Tomorrow DD is going on a day trip with her Godmother, and I plan to empty my present cupboard, all sorts got dumped in there when we had a new bedroom carpet earlier this year and I want to 're-discover' what I bought back in Jan In Boots 75% off sale.:D

Hope you've had a nice weekend, and hugs to those who need them x

I got a great bargain yesterday in Morrisons - Jars of own brand mincemeat red stickered to 10p!! Date is November 2014, I got three jars so that's my mince pies sorted!
  • hugs to those who need them, and waves to the rest of you..

I've had quite an upsy daisy week. with dd getting amazing gcse results, step dads bday and general holiday type activities were combined with dh going back to the dr's with his hand (he fell down our stairs while i was away in brighton with the girls) first dr told him it was just a sprain and to not use it but after a week and a funny lump on the side he went back and saw another dr who highly suspected a break so sent him to hospital.. xray later confirms he has two breaks in his hand ouchie! its now in plaster until thursday when he sees the fracture clinic.. he's doing my head in! lol dunno how he's gonna work with it as its his dominant hand and spends the day on the phone and computers.

Then my brother was rushed into hospital for an operation (he had his bowel removed when he was a teen and a pouch was formed with what was remaining) they thought he had developed a hole in it.. lots of pain and this op later he's more comfy and just turned out to be an abcsess.. which is bad enough but he should be back to working sooner rather than later.

I'm still itching to get the kids settled back at school so i can start on the christmas prep lol hopefully this week will be better!
    Totally debt free wohooo 2014

  • Back from my trip and visit to the Christmas shop. It was so beautiful but very expensive.:eek: I bought 2 purple starburst ornaments as I couldn't come away empty-handed:D

Nic2075. The weather was glorious. I’m pleased I had on my factor 25 while we were at the safari park or I would have really burned.

My friend and her hubby who laughed at me for putting the cream on me and DH are both fried.

04624181. Thanks for the heads up re Dunelm. Bottles added to my list in my handbag book. Will call along one lunchtime this week:T
Freespirit. Hope you feel better soon

Opee 92. Sorry to hear about your family troubles. Hugs to you.
