Grabbed quite a few bits for my OCC shoebox today, so that box is almost done. Just want to at least find a nice little cuddly toy to pop in
There's a nice "me to you" teddy in a scarf on the halfcost site at £5-99 , delivery is free on orders over £5 .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I don't make my xmas cake as no-one eats it apart from me  so doesn't seem worth the effort/cost though toying with the idea of trying to adjust amounts to make an individual one? as home made tastes so much nicer

I put a list of all the xmas markets that are reachable and dates into my phone last night :xmassmile but apart from that all my parcels have arrived and wrapped and put away until i can afford my next lot.#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0

Morning Campers Hi-di-Hi :rotfl:
Am finally on my own, everyone else has gone for a shower.
The site is lovely, but really in the middle of nowhere. It is 38 miles to Yarmouth but it took us an hour and 20 minutes to get there yesterday. We had to go through so many little villages, all 30 miles an hour. As we only live 20 minutes from a motorway this was quite a trek.
It rained from midnight Friday until yesterday afternoon. Then at 2 this morning it came down so quickly and heavily that is quite frightened me. Although because the rain the night before had woken everyone up, the kids slept through last nights downpour.
I had visions of me waking everyone up to tell them to get out, as I really thought we would flood.
It is ds' friends birthday today, so hopefully the sun will stay out and we will be able to have a BBQ.
freespirit hope you feel better soon.
Am going now I can here them coming back :eek:0 -
good morning campers, and everyone else, hope the weather is fine for your bank holiday fun and games. Back from Blackpool, had a lovely break, bought primark out, swam, tram, toddled and sightsaw. DGS loved it, DD felt 'indulged' and I loved having them to myself.
Cream crackered now, tho, and have doubled the meds to cope with the increased pain level.
Had to take BFF/SIL to cuedoc service last night, as she has developed shingles in her eye/face/head. Very painful, but got appropriate treatment so should settle down without complications, hope so as with M.E. and fibromyalgia she has enough to cope with.0 -
Don't know if anyone else has noticed - too excited to check!

Feeling utterly rubbish at the minute. I'm usually so in control but at the minute I feel like the rug had been pulled from under my feet. My maternity pay ends in 2 weeks so I'm currently job hunting. I can't afford the childcare for both the kids to go to a childminder so my mum and my MIL offered to have the kids alternate days if I find something. Only now my mums just been found out to be having an affair and has left my dad and moved 80 miles to be with her "boyfriend". My dad's in pieces.... he's 74 and very frail and has already had 2 failed marriages. My mum's really showing her true colours now and is spreading some disgusting vicious lies about him because she says she doesn't want everyone to take his side. I can't even think about Christmas at the moment and the thought that my poor dad is having to go through all this and will be on his own (obviously we will want him with us at Christmas) Jay makes me not want to bother at all..... why do people have to be so selfish?0

Oh no Opee, not a good thing to be happening, you would think at that age people would act their age, not their shoe size. Anyway, your dad is lucky to have you, so you will get through this together.
OMO, glad you are having fun, my brother is camping this weekend also, had a text yesterday morning complaining that one can't get the staff nowadays as one was still waiting for one's breakfast at 10:30! My god, he suffers from delusions of grandeur:rotfl: Told him he grew up on a farm, go find a cow and milk her:D At least he is having better weather than we are. I went to the Natural History Museum yesterday, as I was there early, I only had to queue for about 10 mins to get in, by the time I left a few hours later, I reckon they were going to be about an hour in the queue and it was chucking it down, so glad I went early.
Freespirit, this weather is very strange at the moment so I imagine alot will pick up the lurgy, at least you will have it over and done with.
Was in Sainsburys earlier, they have 1/3 off Lego if anyone is interested, even had girlie Lego.
Going to do a quick tidy up and then watch Grand PrixA smile costs little but creates much0 -
