Noodles I LOVE the dates present! What a good idea - I might have to steal it.
What about adding a trip to the cinema or bowling? You can usually get deals for these?
04624181 I hope the consultation went ok?
nitnurse how exciting a Christmas shop where you're going! I remember I went to Edinburgh in September once and came across a wonderful Christmas shop, all lovely wooden and rustic decorations - I was over the moon! Enjoy.
OMO Well done for your DS. I love the Christmas shop in Harrods (even though I don't often buy anything :rotfl:) will have to see if I can make it there this year. Sometimes I just love being there when it's dark and standing outside looking at it all lit up. It's a very magical building at Christmas!
fatblackandwhite what a lovely rose!
pinknfluffy I hope your DH makes it back in time!
Well done to all of those with children who passed their GCSE's, it sounds like they all did great! :T
I went to a funeral yesterday and had to do a long round trip and was quite shattered when I got home last night, so treated myself to watching the Royal Family Christmas special! I think someone else on here watched it recently? It cheered me up! I generally like to wait until November/December to watch Christmas films but I do treat myself to TV series' Christmas specials throughout the year.0 -
Doodygirl - so it's not only me whos getting restless for things coming into the shops, I've searched on most of the sites I used! The Poundland one says 'Coming soon' with their C. Stock!
I'm also itching to see what's in the shops! I'm off to the centre today to see if I can pick up anything in the last minute sales!0 -
Am doing some online shopping today, have bough my son a General Greivace (!) talking face mask thing & will look for a few other things he will like. I tend to get all the gifts everyone else buys him (aunts & grandparents) as they never can keep up with what he is into & they also know I am a bargain hunter, so as the debenhams sale is still on & as there is an additional 10% off code at check out, i plan to get a few more bits. Oh & I linked through top cash back so whatever I spend will also get some cash back on it as well
My Christmas bag in the loft is getting bigger everyday.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

:santa2: Hi amysb86 You obviously have very good taste in picking this thread as your first.
Well as you can see there is nothing like an early start in this house. :rotfl:
Ds' mate had to go into work today, dd had to enrol in 6th form and I had to get over the glass ( or 2 ) of wine I had last night.
We are all packed and ready to go when everyone turns up. To be honest it has been a nice relaxing morning packing the car in my own time. We are just hoping that we are not caught in loads of Bank holiday tragic later. It doesn't help that it is the local air show today so loads of people will be leaving here later. But that is where being a local comes in handy, I know all the back roads.0 -
