    im elf mad! lol the card is this one http://www.hallmark.co.uk/Elf-Christmas-List-Kids-Name-Rhyme-Card.aspx

    im not overly keen on the actually elf on the shelf but got the pop-in-kins ones from the bookdepositry ... they do the elf on the shelf ones too.. we did the plush one last xmas eve which my dd4 still sleeps with every night lol got her from build a bear.

    I run a group on fb all around xmas elf antics. not sure i can put the link on here though but if you want to join then i can pm the url :D

    ooh yes please that would be fantastic. I love the pop-in-kins one but my daughter had seen the elf on the shelf dvd so when she sees another elf she says its not the real one. kids eh? no taste as i think they look a bit chuckie-ish. have bought lots of bits and bats to bling her up and make her look more girlie so i hope it works

  • Oh my good garden cabbage:j:j:j
    I can't begin to tell you all how excited I am.:j:j:j:j
    We are off for a weekend away and staying in Calendar is Scotland so last night I went on Google maps to look at the high street,

    There before my very eyes is a shop called
    The Nutcracker Christmas Shop:xmastree::xmassign::santa2:

    I was squealing with excitement:D:D:D:D

    Calm has NOT returned:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    CazD2008. My planning is very similar to Ownmyown and LinaT
    I have f a folder ospread sheets on my net book with are updated regularly all year round.
    We have a 3 course meal on Christmas Eve which is always recipes I have never tried before so menu planning is on there. I add to my shopping list when the menu is complete. Food is listed under fresh, fridge, store cupboard etc…:D
    List of alcohol that has been stashed in the loft:rotfl::rotfl:
    Decoration planning- including theme/ colours. Also list linens to be used, which table runners etc Any extra crockery I might need to buy.
    Presents/card lists
    A folder with craft ideas/ pictures that I could do

    I then have a special notebook in my bag for unusual ingredients, important items that I may not remember.One of these was an olive tray. It looks like a special holder for a bread stick:rotfl::rotfl:
    I wanted one last year but they were almost £10 in M+S. Found one in the charity shop for £1:j:j

    far too excited now....I will never sleep!!!

    xxx
    Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
    Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
    Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say :whistle:
    Loving de-cluttering :heart:

    Evening everyone, DS is gutted he went for an interview yesterday in the film industry, and thought it went really well, then today he got an email saying he hadnt got through :( he is gutted! He must have applied for nearly 300 jobs so far, out of them he only had 30ish replies saying either he didnt have any experience or was overqualified, i can see him spiralling downwards if he doesnt get a break :(

    Back home at last, only to find some b!!!!!!! Has parked over my drive. Have had to park across the road.
    Apparently it is an offence to block someone on their drive but not off their drive. :mad:
    I have left a note on the car saying if it happens again I will phone the police. (I hope they don't know the law) :)

    Had a great time in London. The show was amazing. I had ( as I always seem to ) a tall man sat in front of me, so I had to sit at an angle. But it didn't spoil it for me. I will never see the Wizard of Oz in the same light again. It has changed the whole story.

    Went to Lakeside shopping centre on the way home. Had some dinner and got dd a few bits in Parmark, and got myself a new cardigan. I have the same one in black and cream. Was only saying the other day I wished they had done it in navy, and they heard me, because today there it was.:D

    Harrods Christmas shop is a lot smaller than previous years, but the assistant told me there is the same amount of products. They are just putting less of each one out. I got Robbie a baby 2013 ornament. They do a bear one with the year on but it wasn't out yet. I would like to get him one of these every year.

    If my friend can get the whole weekend off for the Ideal home show, we may stay up there on the Sat night and go to the South Bank Christmas Fair on the Sunday. If we do this I will pop over to Harrods and get the bear ornament. I would like to get one a year for him. If we don't I will order it on-line.

    Off to Blackpool for 2 days in an hour, DGS stayed at home with mammy last night so that he' could share being excited' bless.
    Planning 2 nights in London first week in October, with lovely ff we will def. visit Harrods Christmas shop, yaaaay.
    (I seem to be becoming something of a flibbertigibbet, always having trips away, hmmmm).
    Wow, I used to think I was organise for Christmas, but I've never done a spreadsheet, and only have 3 lists, cards, presents and food, each in its own notebook so I can check year on year that presents don't get repeated, and so on, and that foodstuffs that were/not popular are rebought/avoided each book lasts about 5 years, card one is about 8, but that is small beer when compared to you all, well done, I am lost in awe of you.
