Nanamia, that sounds like an awful situation to deal with, I do hope it is behind you now and things are better.
Ownmyown, I am very jealous of your trip to the ideal home show, unfortunately there's no way I could talk dh into that one, he'd be bored stiff :-(
I've been spending a fortune on Facebook at the mo for christmas presents, every time I log on there's something else popping up in my newsfeed that I think oh I'll order that.
Just got some Thomas pjs for ds with his name embroidered on for £6 from gbtina, plus some embroidered towels for gifts and a christmas tshirt for wearing during December.
I'm thinking I'll do a December hamper for us with clothes, things to do and watch and some nice food/drink to keep us going as we get sorted through the month(mainly an excuse for cute clothes for ds and a bottle of baileys for me)
Hope everyone has a lovely day and the sun is shining where you are as it is here x0 -
Can anyone explain this Paper Jamz stuff. Had a look at it but seems to be cardboard instruments! Am I missing the point?:o
I bought the guitar, drums and amp set a couple of years ago after KayAndy posted a good deal. Basically it is a plastic (apart from the amp, and I think mic) instrument that you can actually play. You either strum/play along to one of the pre programmed song (sounds like you are actually playing the song) or you can play in free mode so if you can play the instrument then you can play whatever you want. They are a good novelty - especially for younger children and if you can get them for a good price.0 -
Nanamia I hope that's the last you hear of the manky old bat. Neighbour trouble is so stressful and unnecessary.
Ordered some half price hankies with free delivery from the M&S sale to put in with one of the men's presents. http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/search?field-keywords=hankerchiefs&viewID=results&intid=gnav_search&node=42966030#field-keywords=hankerchiefs&viewID=results&intid=gnav_search&node=42966030&page=1&sort=price&size=12
Also had an ebayer pick up my old dumbbell set and got £5 for it. So it isn't sat in the corner taking up room and making me feel guilty now.
On track with my decluttering 10 items a day, 190 gone so far and hopefully I'll root out 10 more tonight. I'll put some before and after pictures up of my room when I've finished, there is quite a difference already!0 -
I loooove all this christmas chatter, im so excited and its only aug!
Ive just started up a new christmas planner notebook and I was wondering if you all have one and what kind of things do you put inside?x0 -
Just got back from doctors. Need to have another blood test next week to check thyroid again. I am seeing the nurse this time, as I feel the doctor I have been seeing is just ignoring me.
I told them I had stopped taking the cholesterol tablets, as it is only high because my thyroid is low.
As I have been seeing the nurse every 12 weeks (for the last 16 years) for my depo jab, she knows I have never been overweight before, and believes me when I say I am not eating any more than I used to.
So hopefully something will be done this time. Fingers crossed.0 -

Everything. :rotfl:
I must admit I use an app now as I like to be able to delete things without making it look messy.
When I had a book I used to write on scraps of paper until my list was perfect.
I have a food list which gets reduced every year. I cross off what wasn't eaten the previous year.
Lists of toiletries for the home. I start buying these one a week from September.
People to buy for and amounts I wish to spend. Again good to look back on the following year.
Where the presents are hidden. ( my best friend remembered one of her sons main gifts only when he commented Christmas morning his brother had a lot more than him ) It was under her bed.
Cards to send by post and to hand deliver. Stamps needed.
Also special cards needed. ( usually get them in Jan Sale)
What spare presents I have, just incase someone you forgot pops in. (Chocolates and wine/beer are good as you can use them yourself if not needed).
Ideas I have picked during the year. You think you will remember that Auntie June mentioned loving that old film, but you never do.0 -

OMO I hope the nurse is more thorough than the doctor has been and you get it sorted.
CazD2008 I keep a google drive folder with all my Christmas stuff in. I have a spreadsheet with columns for names, gift ideas, budget, gifts bought, cards written, how much it cost, where the money has come from and the RRP. I keep mine online because I like to edit and I also get bored of notebooks when they get scruffy. It allows me to total everything up easily too.
I upload any recipes, free printable labels etc. to the folder.
Just a heads up to everyone, jars of mincemeat are in tesco for 20p, courtesy of HUKD http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/robertsons-traditional-mincemeat-classic-411g-jar-only-20p-tesco-1636146
I got 5 jars for £1 as the best before date is December 2015. Mince pies all round!!! :j0 -
Hugs Nanamia, you seem like such a lovely person, and your neighbour sounds like a right cowbag x
I've been buying a few bits and bobs for the kids. So far it's mainly Lego. Sainsburys have a lot half price just now, My dd still loves the Lego friends ones.
I seem to have been so busy this week. It was my DD's 8 th birthday on Saturday, I took her and her cousin out to get Gelish nails done, then lunch at Frankie & Benny's, she seems to have grown up over night:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
OMO which app do you use? I like the idea of this as I also like to be neat! Didn't think of toiletries list, that's a gudden!
Thanks all xx0
