We are off for a weekend away and staying in Calendar is Scotland so last night I went on Google maps to look at the high street,
There before my very eyes is a shop called
The Nutcracker Christmas Shop:xmastree::xmassign::santa2:
I was squealing with excitement:D:D:D:D
Calm has NOT returned:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
CazD2008. My planning is very similar to Ownmyown and LinaT
I have f a folder ospread sheets on my net book with are updated regularly all year round.
We have a 3 course meal on Christmas Eve which is always recipes I have never tried before so menu planning is on there. I add to my shopping list when the menu is complete. Food is listed under fresh, fridge, store cupboard etc…:D
List of alcohol that has been stashed in the loft:rotfl::rotfl:
Decoration planning- including theme/ colours. Also list linens to be used, which table runners etc Any extra crockery I might need to buy.
Presents/card lists
A folder with craft ideas/ pictures that I could do
I then have a special notebook in my bag for unusual ingredients, important items that I may not remember. One of these was an olive tray. It looks like a special holder for a bread stick:rotfl::rotfl:
I wanted one last year but they were almost £10 in M+S. Found one in the charity shop for £1:j:j
far too excited now....I will never sleep!!!

I was at the Christmas shop in Callander just 2 weeks ago. It's lovely, but be warned and take plenty money. Loads of lovely decs. But not very cheap. And be warned the Christmas music played on the bagpipes lol. Callander is a beautiful place, loads of quaint shops. Enjoy xx:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Having an early catch up today
and you too Freespirit Sat babysitting for DGD2 who is now fast asleep. Bless her she's such a cute and has me well and truly wrapped around her little finger. DD has gone late night shopping with her friend which makes me feel Christmassy.
Think I've pretty much caught up with everybody's news now. Wow have you lovelies been busyWell done xxx
I'd love to see Harrods Christmas shop and the other exciting things you mention in London, may look into it but probably for next year. This year I'm hoping to be done and relaxed remember Linky you promised to keep me on task!
I've returned from our hols determind to declutter, DSs house is so easy to keep clean and tidy and I'm hoping that this is the answer. I have so much blooming junk- I know a couple of you are thinking the same at the mo too. I've previously made cards as a hobby and blooming hek have I accumulated some stuff, any way it's ages since I've seriously done any so it's got to go. Not all of it as I am really hoping to get into scrap booking. I've been in touch with our local hospitals psychiatric unit and they've an art therapy department who would love my stash. I'm slowly sorting through, keep, give to lovely neighbour with children that love to craft and hospital I may be some time..
When the card making stash has gone I'm going to tackle the present cupboard and update my lists. I've got the app that Linky was talking about but I couldn't get on with it last year. May give it another try! I ordered a few bit whilst we were away so I've a few fillers and bits and bobs need to organise.
I'm doing Advent Hampers this year too Ameyturtle so will be looking to "borrow" ideas, I'm thinking similar to the Christmas Eve hampers just fuller
I'm quite proud that I managed to buy, wrap and stash DGD1s birthday presents (end Nov) and Christmas presents while we were there so that's a big chunk of our Christmas planning/ spending already done. Will post a few more Christmas bits but the bulk is donexxx
Think you must be quite local to me Lina I'm in south Manchesterreally loving everybodies preperations and chatter xxx

Nanamia you have 24 days left of leisure :rotfl:
Am off camping tomorrow, if only I could get my backside I gear. Worked 8 straight though today and am shattered. And to that the 14 hours I was out yesterday and you can imagine how I feel.
We are not leaving until lunch time tomorrow so I am hoping I wake up full of beans. I actually only have to pack mine and ds ' bag, oh and the car and trailer
Drive to site.Help build the tent and porch. Put the toilet tent up. Make my bed. Organise the kitchen. Go to the local Tescos and get the food.
Think I am just going to have a glass of wine now. I don't feel too well.:rotfl:0 -
Please put your feet up Linky I'm worn out reading about your adventures

They are really lovely reversible ones. Black and grey stripes one side and black and blue on the other side. That's all the men I had to buy for sorted. Just gonna get some smellies to go with them.Savings Account - £0.00

Evening everyone, ive popped back on, thats all i can be bothered to do today, waste time on t'internet, i need a good slap
NANAMIA we are both early todayglad you have been having a good time with DGD2, aah what a lovely thought giving some crafting bits to the psychiatric unit, my workshop is the same, its like kids and toys, they get so many they dont know what to play with or play with the same thing over and over, i have far too much for scrapbooking and cardmaking, when the kids were making cards last month, i couldnt believe the bits they were using i couldnt even remember buying them, and i find the more i have, i always need something else to finish a card, whereas i think i would make do if i only had little choice, your advent hampers sound great, would the recipients open something every day throughout december? What a great feeling knowing you have a big chunk sorted for christmas
OMO hope you and the kids have a wonderful weekend camping and really enjoy it, hope the weather stays nice for you all

Evening to everyone (but Im guessing most of you are tucked up in bed!) My insomnia has reached new heights this week, but depiste an average 4 hours sleep a night, I have never felt better! I have so much energy, I have even cleaned skirting boards, door frames, behind furniture etc! I know from past experience it will catch up on me and will probably spend a good day or so next week sleeping non-stop!
Anyways, i wanted to share my joy at the wonderful aroma filling my home today - my Christmas Cookies yankee candle tealights arrived today! I am trying to get a new christmas themed pack (on offer) every fortnight or so, ready for December, and I got these for just £2.90 inc postage off ebay! Obviously i need to try them out though!
Tomorrow is our 5th wedding anniversary. Dh is still away, but he is hoping to finish early enough that he can travel home in the evening rather than sat morning. So far we havent spent one anniversary together thanks to his damn job, so as long as he is home before midnight...
Im going to partake in my favourite, secret pass time for an hour now before attempting to sleep ... watching xmas videos on youtube! The theme for tonight is homemade gift wrap & tags!
Night all xxIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Freespirit must be something in the air today, I'm like you been on the internet mainly this site for hours after DGD2 went to sleep. I'd done DDs ironing when I was at hers earlier in the week so sat happily for a few hours on the iPad. I have found a really useful looking thread on the OS board about hoarding so I'm venturing out !!! Wish me luck xxx
Pinknfluffy we celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary on the 5th, long story but DH got the opportunity to go to Bali so we were in different countries on our special day. We facetimed and I asked him how he planned to celebrate and he said he was having a massage!!! (I've heard all about "happy endings" haha) good job I know he was joking and would run a mileHope you and your DH get to enjoy your special day xxx

Hi all
Was in Primark last night and picked up some tinned candles, mixed berries, vanilla and can't remember what the 3rd is for £3 each, bargain gift or just for general use in bathroom
Also saw some suede effect curtains in plum, perfect for my living room but couldn't buy until I checked the sizes, have french doors and then the window. Guess what I am buying this evening
For those who have littlies, there were also pop up laundry baskets for £1, thought they might be good for teaching little ones not to drop dirty clothes on floor, actually just had a mad thought, could they be used for dumping dirty shoes into rather than wandering in further to house?
I am in my godson's bad books at the moment, he is the youngest and it was his brothers birthday the other day. They are always fighting, so cue present of tshirt saying "this is what the best big brother in the world looks like!" Amused everyone except Luke:DA smile costs little but creates much0
