mrsinvisible wrote: »I am still being amazed, upset and dismayed at the attitude od my special's family.... well not his sister, or younger brother, but all the rest of them. I am accused of locking up his house and not letting any of them in. (why would they want to be in his house when he is dead and they didn't go in when he was alive?) Of taking everything out of the house (his sister has all his furniture, and I gave his cousin the car, even tho, under his will he left me everything, I actually want nothing, I don't want to profit out of his death).
I took over the arrangements for his funeral, and didn't consult them (yes, I arranged everything the way he wanted and I paid for it too, but I decided everything with his sister and brother, who were relieved that I did it)
I also took over care of his lovely old border collie, who no one else wanted, as he was old, expensive and needed attention which none of them were inclined to do.
Their comments hurt, but I won't demean my special by replying to them.
Mrs I - Some people are just so mean spirited and spiteful. You're the better person here - we all know it and he obviously knew it too so s*d the rest of them! You did what he wanted and that's what counts. So glad the poor old collie had you to rely on too. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
MrsI how bloody dare these people! You have stepped up and followed through with your dear friends wishes when no-one else wanted to. You have given a poor bereaved dog a home, who would have otherwise (in all likelihood) spent the rest of his short life in a dog shelter or worse be put to sleep. Please don't let their evil nastiness upset you x
DH has had his hospital appointment - Heart is doing great, unmentionables not so. They now think it isn't a hydroseal but a valve that didn't close at birth - they've said it's a simple procedure, but because of his other health problems it will be a bit more complicated. I am glad it is sorted, but anxious about the next step.
Another craft fair tomorrow - not holding out much hope as apparently a lot of the other stalls have cancelled. I'm kind of doing it to get my name out rather than make lots of sales, well that's what I'm telling myself[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Good Morning lovelies!
I meant to post last weekend but I was super poorly a migraine from Wednesday that turned into what I thought was a sick once on saturday then off to work I would have gone, nope turns out I think I gave myself food poisoning, with risotto so note to self freezing risotto is not a wise idea anyway ended up phoning in sick for all of last weekend.
Anyway I come bearing good news remember how I went for the supervisor position at work and had the awful night and didn't get it, well I got called into the office on Thursday, to be offered a bigger contract and to be offered the chance to become key holder which is the step below supervisor. So Yay for that.
Was also always meant to be going to London for training on Monday so am still doing that, but I am also going to Oxford on Wednesday ready for more training on Thursday, all paid for by work. I've also got a tastecard so the real question is, is there anything I should see in Oxford? Or anyone in Oxford who fancies coffee on Wednesday?
And a little update on Harper, here is the two of us in the sun a couple of weekends ago apologies if it is massive0 -
what a fab looking dog! Oxford currently have set up a beach outside the castle which i believe is free to visitA big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0

Thanks for the birthday messages. Had a lovely day yesterday. Bff took me out shopping all day. We also went for coffee in Chester at a place called Central Perk. It's done out exactly like the coffee shop in Friends and they have massive tvs that play Friends episodes all day! Loved it, although I found that I was sitting watching the telly rather than chatting with bff it's one of my favourite shows! :rotfl:
Turns out our day out was to get me out of the way while dh planned a surprise birthday party for me for tonight! He had to tell me yesterday as he knew I'd be a little miffed if I didn't have the chance to get all dolled up! Good thinking on his part! Managed to book myself into the hairdresser this morning for a blow dry and style and bff has booked me in for a makeover at 3 to have my make up done! Can't believe how much effort they've both put in to it. I'm so lucky.
Avoided a mini disaster at the hairdressers. Somehow she managed to melt a plastic clip onto the tongs! I ended up with a massive black blob of plastic melted into the front of my very blonde hair!!!! After 15 minutes of washing she got every bit of it out. She was so apologetic and I could tell that she was really panicking! How I managed to stay calm I don't know, but everything turned out fine in the end! Phew! :jSavings Account - £0.00
