    Sorry butting in! But does any one live near or has visited great yarmouth? We're going 24th August for a week. Im very excited and I'm looking at things to do. Me, dh, Nia 6 & Mali 9 months.

    So far - Africa alive (thank you club card!) & pleasure wood hills (again club card) my hubby likes the look of Bewilderwood. Obviously the beach and town. Oh and I've found a pony sanctuary that Nia will love!

    Ruled out - Wroxham barns (dh hates shopping & dont really want to pay for the farm), sealife centre (would cost £30 and its not an all day thing), pettitts (too expensive for just small animals), joy land will become too expensive as Nia will not go on rides alone!, Model village (not our thing & £19!), Pleasure beach (too expensive wrist bands £15 & £19.50).

    Any one know of any hidden gems? Its our wedding anniversary whilst we're there and we're also looking for somewhere nice to eat, thinking cafe cru at the imperial hotel?

    Thanks for any help!

    I go there every year, and my mind has gone blank.:eek:

    Will ask the kids when they get back, if they remember anything from when they were younger.

    I do know there is a great firework display every Wed night on the pier. There is live music on the green.

    We will be visiting GY over the bank hols, as we are camping only an hour away. :D

    I will also have a look in my box. I never throw an attractions leaflet away.

    Be back later.

    Thanks for the positive comments folks :)
    The butterflies I knew I was going to use them somehow, DS loved making them the other day, but wasn't sure how til wrapping was in progress. Since they are to thank for childcare, I wanted it to show it was from DS too. Used a bit of tape (rolled to make double sided) to fix the wings to through cellphone so they were 3D.
    Mum was very happy with hers this morning.
    Costs of contents for anyone interested, one was under £13 the other was under £9. Also bought pink Cala Lilies in pots which were under £6 each, looked lovely in Lidl and have a butterfly on a stick in them :)

    Today I've bought a selection of nice boxer shorts with Batman, Hulk, Animal (muppets) etc on them on sale in tesco for my brothers and husband's Christmas boxes. Also got two nice necklaces for friends or SILs, a Minnie mouse plastic plate, bowl and cup 40p each for friends daughter and some half price leather gardening gloves for mum. Will probably go down the hamper route for the adult relatives this year.

    Spirits are higher but still waiting on a urology appointment :( We have to travel to the big hospital tomorrow to get his heart checked - slightly nervous.

    Just wanted to share my latest make - turning photographs into layered papercuts;
