Nanamia-Wowee that is expensive!
freespirit66-You must feel so many emotions with your DD moving out then having to worry about money too. ((hugs)) It is far too hot for me too, I love winter! Maybe Im odd but I love the rain too lol. It is nice to be able to go out and about in the sunshine but my body just doesnt handle heat well. I sweat, go red and feel like Im boiling from the inside, plus I feel exhausted and irritable. Lovely lol. x
I have some more nice news, my friend has asked me to be godmother to her son who was born last September. :j So I will be godmother to two gorgeous little boys in one year! We'll have to travel to Derbyshire (3 hours away) in September for it so need to save for the travelodge and petrol but I am so excited. :j About 3 weeks later we will hopefully be going back for a few days before our Skegness holiday, I just love Derbyshire.'They only had one cow!'0 -
OK hampers done for childminders and my mum to thank them for help, support and love for my little boy over the past 15 months or so. They look quite nice. I used boxes that photocopying paper comes in and cut them so the are lower at the front. Wrapped each of them in a sheet of blue paper used to make posters in lessons. Tissue paper inside and cellophane, ribbon from supplies at home. Contents all from Lidl. DS painted butterflies with my help the other day and I used these instead of bows. Will put pics on here tomorrow if someone can remind me how?

Evening everyone,
Im glad there are others who dont like this heat CAITLYN and MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE, i never have even as a kid i couldnt stand going to the beach with my parents, getting burnt, hot etc but this year i do feel moany as i was freezing i was moaning and now we have warmth, plus i keep having hot flushes (unfortunately not menopause) from hormone tabs, and i just look a flaming mess, my hair wringing wet, makeup melting :rotfl:
CAITLYN that was funny about summer, your lovely words to FEISTY were so meaningful, you do have a lovely way with saying things so im sure you will find the right words with your colleague
MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE yes i have the opposite of SAD i dread the summer but love autumn, winter time, well that just shows what a lovely person you are to be asked to be godmother twice, congratulations

morning, today is going to be a good one, I, supreme commander and omnipotent goddess of chez invis decree it. (so there)
Having a facial from my lovely friend, and then I need some retail repair therapy. I foolishly bought a couple of skirts in the sale, they are lovely, but they are patterned, so I need some plain coloured tops to wear with them...... oh dear, need to go shopping, what a nightmare, what was I thinking? silly me!
Harvested my first courgettes yesterday, and the strawberry plants are yielding a couple of portions a day now, tomatoes are bigging up and the peppers are starting to show, peas and beans have flowers and taters are coming on a treat too. Raspberry canes have not a single fruit on them tho grr.0 -
Ooo thanks Own my own, never knew that
Christmas update: bought some of those glitter snowglobe things that you can put 2 photos in. Going to get a nice pic of DS and our new baby boy too and put these in little hampers for his grandparents and aunties & uncles. Also we got married just before Christmas 2012 so will be printing off a nice family group photo and putting it in a frame for each oneNote to self- pick up some nice frames, perhaps at car boot

Sorry butting in! But does any one live near or has visited great yarmouth? We're going 24th August for a week. Im very excited and I'm looking at things to do. Me, dh, Nia 6 & Mali 9 months.
So far - Africa alive (thank you club card!) & pleasure wood hills (again club card) my hubby likes the look of Bewilderwood. Obviously the beach and town. Oh and I've found a pony sanctuary that Nia will love!
Ruled out - Wroxham barns (dh hates shopping & dont really want to pay for the farm), sealife centre (would cost £30 and its not an all day thing), pettitts (too expensive for just small animals), joy land will become too expensive as Nia will not go on rides alone!, Model village (not our thing & £19!), Pleasure beach (too expensive wrist bands £15 & £19.50).
Any one know of any hidden gems? Its our wedding anniversary whilst we're there and we're also looking for somewhere nice to eat, thinking cafe cru at the imperial hotel?
Thanks for any help!Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0
