Tis true for the most part, people start thinking "Christmas" when the school holidays end. I've been "told" to stop buying now as the cupboard is full. HAHAHA not going to happen. It doesn't help that both the girls birthdays fall in the run up 1 a month before 1 a week before!
Still looking for a few things. Eldest has her heart set on the entire contents of Toys R Us while the youngest will be happy with a balloon and a packet of bubbles. (learned my lesson from the first one)
Big clear out planned over the next week or two as youngest has out grown her fisherprice little people bits, eldest has grown out of everything, and generally a bit tired of climbing through her room.
But first/as well as I have a couple of craft projects. I'm attempting to make a victorian outfit for me and eldest, as well as a Harry Potter Cloak for her.
AmyTurtle - Harper looks very happy. Eldest wants a dog, I don't think I'd cope as much as I'd love one myself.
We've a trip to London coming up soon, so I am trying very hard to fill the spare days with free stuff, ideas welcome0 -

If you get a travel card, take a trip out to Crystal Palace Park and have a look at the dinosaurs, they are listed. There is also a farm which the littlies should be able to get up close and personal with.
There are the usual museums, but girls may be a bit too young, although they may enjoy the science museum as it is interactive.
Covent Garden has street entertainers.
Hyde Park has the Peter Pan section, U 4's are free on the boating lake, adults £12 each per hour or £10 for 30 mins, guess which is the MSE bit!
What about taking a wander down some of the markets?A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Going to make a sock monkey and cake today...busy busy busy!
Grrr so annoyed at some posters on the forum! I asked if anyone would like to donate a home made gift to my raffle for graduation day and all I've got back is awful posts! I was only asking...I didn't expect much0 -
And we went to london, look out for two for one tickets at the train station in booklets, not free entry but saves quite abit of money0

Hello everyone, new and old.
Sorry I've not been on, been busy. I have bought a porch for the tent, it is a different make, but the dimensions of he tents are the same so hopefully it will fit.
Dd has a summer job now.:j It is at the Pavilion. She went for the interview on Thursday, and was supposed to do her trial run on Sat but they phoned her on Friday to say hey were short staffed, so she went in. She did 4 hours Fri and Sat and has been there since 10 this morning. So now she will have her own money to get her clothes/make-up etc. Which makes my life a little easier.
Got up this morning to rain  it was really fine, but everything in the garden was damp.bargainfinder1992 wrote: »Going to make a sock monkey and cake today...busy busy busy!

back from a glorious week in Cornwall. The weather was amazing & we had a great time but back to reality & time to get started on my advent calendar project.
I found a bag on my ds's (6yo) old pants (clean), there are red, blue & green once so I have decided to turn them into the numbers of the advent
I will spend the next couple of weeks cutting them into numbers & then sew them into the pockets or bags, I haven't decided which style of caledar to go for yet.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
