102 people have looked and I have 1 reply. It was nice of that person to take the time, but her reply was not really what I was looking for.
I know you need a kettle, table and chairs.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi OMO I go camping all the time, normally with friends (so if I am missing an item I can usually borrow it off of someone else!) Items at the top of my list because the 'normal' camping gear is ready to go at a moments notice are a can/bottle opener (for beer
), dustpan & brush, wet wipes & a first aid kit. Hand sanitiser is good too for the kids before they eat. A potty for in the middle of the night, dog mess bags if you have a dog, a cheap 3 ring pool to fill up from the middle of the field tap... keeps the kids entertained for hours, football, WATER PISTOLS! Would definately advise a visit to a £1 shop before you go. Drinking chocolate for those who need a warm drink but don't like tea or coffee. Ummm & wraps... these can hold chillis, curries, spag bol instead of cooking rice or pasta & I usually take a batched cooked meal out the freezer, straight into the cool box ,keeps for 2 bags & keeps everything else chilled...
Sorry if I repeated anything as you can see I love camping!! Hope some of this helps
Something my friends take (which I don't but it came in handy when my DD got a splinter) was a small sewing kit of all things!0 -

Thanks for the tips. I love the wrap idea. We eat a lot of pitta bread but I never buy wraps. And I don't know why because my kids always get them from the fish shop round the corner.0 -
We usually take pot noodles too x0

An essential pump if the beds are air beds, we always forget the washing up bowl or tin opener, gafa tape is useful for tent repairs, plenty of change for shower tokens on some campsites. We always take an empty milk bottle to collect water in, seems just the right size.0

I'm sure you already have a stash of them in the caravan, but board games, sudoku, crossword book etc are always handy - especially if you're relying on the British weather[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

As much as I love the hot weather, I hate the hay fever that comes with it.
And my anti histamine just don't seem to be working this year.
I am just hoping that what ever pollen is causing it has gone before we go camping.
I booked a campsite last night in Saxmundham for the bank holiday. Large pitch with hook up is only £22.50 a night. The camp doesn't really have much except fishing lakes, but that will keep the boys happy. Meaning us girls can go out for the day on the Saturday. Then we can just chill on the Sunday.0
