Freespirit well done to your DS, you are going to have to prepare yourself for the graduation :) What a wonderful achievement despite what has happened around him :) Maybe DD2 is feeling a little left out! My middle sister was a shocker for that- middle child syndrome :( Hope her mood has improved by now xxx
Linky doesn't everybody keep a lock for best? Bless your DS he should have a thread all of his own for the feel good factor :) I'm a little late with my camping twopennth but kitchen roll ,cup a soups and a mat for the entrace of the tent I'd like to add to the already wonderful lists :) xxx
And Linky you've been warned before, venturing onto other threads! What on earth do you expect :) The nicest, kindest most loving, thoughtful people gravitate towards Christmas and end up here with us :) xxx

It's so good to have other people joining, think you will love it here, I know I do. And honestly say that I'm really glad I found it and my virtual family. So a very warm welcome to Curly, Fluffysox and CazD

Mrsinvisible I am really pleased to see you posting, I've been thinking often of you. Such a lot for you to sort out too you must be functioning on auto pilot. Have you had the funeral or has that to wait too? I'm sorry if that's intrusive. One of us is always around if you ever need a chat, rant or anything. The poor dog must be as lost as you :( how is your DGS and DD something like this can't help to affect them all. Thinking of you xxx

Well in other news from down under, I've had the best day. DGD1 and I have had a proper girlie day, full of treats, retail therapy and fun :) These memories will keep me going hopefully when I get back to the uk. We went out for breakfast (treat day, weighed in this morning and lost another two pounds) followed by the cinema (despicable me2 in 3D) - she enjoyed it and giggled and laughed all the way through :) then a spot of shopping. News shoes, some dressing up clothes, some new earrings and a necklace the list goes on and on and on :) xxx

Nana I am so glad you are having a good time :)

CazD2008 I would suggest 99p store and pound land - 99p store has nail stamping sets in there at the moment BUT IMO the cheap set I have is not very good (but I have the original stamp set to compare it too). They have lots of other beauty bits in it. Superdrug has all their MUA for 99p (well most of it anyway) its really good quality and cruelty free, perfect!

OMO sorry you got a bashing in the other threads :( I have been fairly lucky when venturing out, a few snide comments, but nothing too bad

FreeSpirit - Craft fair was fun but terrible sales :( I calculated I had taken £450 worth of stock and I said that if I didn't sell at least 10% I wouldn't do another - I've only made £14.50 and ended up giving £22.50 worth of stock to family members to say thank you for helping. However my cousin has pointed out that I have bought enough props etc and stock to do many more fairs and the only outlay would be a stand, so it would be silly not to try a few more venues (she feels the location of yesterdays one was bad). Incase any of you are interested (I have a weird fetish for checking out how others display their craft stalls) here is a picture of my layout :)

Aaw Feisty when I wished you luck on FB yesterday I thought how good and very professional your stall looked I was sure you'd do well. But like your family say - in a glass half full way - you've no outlay for future fairs so what have you to loose. Location location location :)

To cheer my Christmas buddies DGD1 and I are in bed ( seven hours ahead) watching The Grinch eating magnums :) (still treat day) xxx

Can I just say how lovely it is to have such a warm welcome and some brilliant ideas, in previous years whenever I have tried to join these kind of threads I have found that the 'long termers' don't really like to bother with the newbies!
Thank you so much and I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather this evening!x

And they're even more welcoming to absent long termers! BIG WAVE to everyone! I havn't posted since May :o but life seems to run by with the little one (who is 8 months tomorrow - where did that go!?). Well it took me 20 pages to catch up! Too many posts to individually post on but you have all been so through so many highs and lows over the past few months. I love that the virtual family is here! I loved the snowflake silicone mould and the two layer choc & peppermint idea, though I was wondering, would you put the crushed candy canes, a layer of white choc & then a layer of milk choc or white, then milk chocs and add the candy cane after? I have ordered the mould but obviously wont be doing until nearer the time! I think it was feisty who asked for a pic of my sleighs so far and hopefully it will show up!

Noodle they are wonderful! I do hope you are going to get the Chocolate mini santas to ride them too :D

I would experiment with the chocolate and crushed candy cane snowflakes :)

Well there is a big possibility we will need to move into rented accommodation next year :( I don't think our deposit will be quite as healthy as we hoped and because of my self employed status the banks are going to be pretty strict. Not too sure how I feel about it yet.
