This last week has seemed so mental!

So since last weekend I've broken a laptop, ordered a new one, which didn't turn up when it was meant to, got that delivery refunded and it showed up the following day, and Harper somehow last night by standing on the old one managed to get a screen to appear that I'd been trying to get up since it broke and am thinking I'm going to set the whole laptop back to it's factory settings and give it to my dad so he can play his online games on it, rather than being holed up in the bedroom all the time.

We did cruelty free kisses yesterday at work let me see if I can you a link to a picture of me http://instagram.com/p/bbL1yQlZpZ/#
That's me on the left wearing the brightest pink lipstick and doing my best pouty face, can you tell I'm not a pout person :rotfl: It was for a world record attempt.

Harper has gotten so big, I've got a couple of photos to put up of him. The sun seems to be helping with Mum's mood now all we have to do is get the diabetes back under control as we had a bad 6 monthly check up, but I can't say I was surprised I told the nurse when I saw her last that if it was a case of dealing with a grumpy mummy or giving her a chocolate bar then the chocolate bar wins. I just think that particularly with depression if a bar a chocolate it what you feel is going to make you day be abit better or not seem so bad then go for it, but we are having more good days than bad so less chocolate needed, plus I'm going to get back on making her some sweet treats that aren't too bad for her.

I'm hoping to make some banana nut muffins that she can have for breakfast, she doesn't tend to want to eat large amounts during the summer, so trying to think of little things that are balanced and enticing.

I'm at the hospital Tuesday will probably take my blood forms and get those done at the same time.

I've had the last 2 Sundays off and it's been brilliant last weekend I watched top 50 movie soundtrack songs of the 90's then watched the F1 and this morning I've got 50 Biggest selling power ballads of the 90's. I love it!

Anyway hope everyone is well, I'm rather jealous of all you campers!

Nanamia I hope you haven't checked in because you are having an amazing time with DGD and are doing plenty of Christmas Shopping!

MrsInvisible I'm sorry to hear of your loss

I feel I'm missing loads of people, OMO How well is DS doing, bless him! And DD at her prom! Aww

    Love and Hugs to all!
  • Well, not been here for a bit, life overtaking. Had an awful day yesterday :( Had a call from a friend earlier in the week asking if I was busy yesterday as the scouts were in a bit of a pickle for the troops 80th birthday celebration, well I have never been involved in scouts, but said I would make up the adult organisers to the relief of some of the others, apparently I'm "sensible!" Was going to meet friends so needed to be away by 6 at the latest, that was fine. So I did all the housework etc and left to go there at 11:45, everything went swimmingly until I decided it was time to have my first coffee there, about 4 pm, was just about to take my first sip when a football came from behind and grazed the cup, coffee all over me  Off to get it wiped down, but although I could reduce the staining, there was no getting rid of the smell:o So was left with no choice but to go home to change before I met friends (they had decided it was a takeaway to eat, so smelling a bit of bbq from scouts was ok). Also forgot to put sun block on my face, so although my face looks ok today, my nose is like a beacon:D

When I got there, my friend said she was not placing the order, as the last time she did, she only ordered my starter so she was not going to let that happen this time, I had forgotten that! We were ordering Chinese and Indian, there was supposed to be about 30-40 mins delivery for each, which was great, except our Chinese turned up after less than 10 and those of us who ordered refused to eat until all the food was there, I was starving, had a sliceof toast at 8am, was in the open air and only drinking water all day but I could not eat in front of the others, made worse by the fact we were eating in the garden. Eventually we could all eat and I managed to tip the plate with half of my food all over myself:mad: Wasn't meant to eat yesterday:D

On the plus side, Sainsbury have reed difusers at half price, so picked up a couple of them this morning, they also have Mandara Spa sets half price, may nip back to pick up a couple as I didn't have room in my basket and was not going back to get a trolley.

Hope you all enjoying the sun.

    Hello x

Last year I made my daughter (15) a gift bag full of Wilkinson Therapy bits. They look a lot more expensive than they are.
I use the exfoliating wipes as they are as good if not better than the named brands.

Curly33 well done on the bargain from H Samuel - a stocking charm sounds cute!

freespirit you are so organised having your presents wrapped already! :rotfl:

mrsinvisible I hope you enjoyed some time out in the sun in your garden. So sorry to hear you have to wait so long, but I hope you find some peace before then.

Ameyturtle I hope things continue to get better for you and your mum.

Gettingtherequickly you should have stayed in bed!! :p

Welcome CazD2008, a beauty hamper sounds like a fab idea! What about popping in some nail varnish and nail art tools? Nail art is huge at the moment! You could pop in those fab face mask packs, lip balms, hand cream etc. You could also put in a head band to keep her hair off her face when beautifying and an eye mask?

    Welcome fluffysox!
