Camping list

We have bought a tent ( 10 berth ) after many years of towing a caravan. We just need more space.
But I am more worried than I ever was towing the van ( single mum of 2. 16 and 20 in age)
I have the basics from the van and think we are sorted, but you never know.
What is the one thing ( or 2-3 things) you couldn't do without when camping. And what are the things that are not worth taking.
There will be 5 of us as the kids always take a mate each.

Eta I have read every list on the net, but just some wanted first hand tips.

Extra blankets - just in case! A waterproof sleeping bag too - or a good tent, once my tent leaked and I got soggy feet in my sleeping bag.
Wet whipes always come in handy too - especially if there are kids about (and arm pits).

One thing I always take is Lyons coffee bags. Real coffee without the mess.

I get mine in Morrisons.0 -
Your kids are too big now, but when mine were little I had a couple of plastic tubs which doubled as seats. They were about 18 inches across and about 2 foot deep. I used to bath the kids in them, wash up in them and wash clothes in them - not at the same time though!
They were absolutely brilliant as they had handles on the side so you could carry them, but I haven't seen them for ages. Might be handy for someone with younger kids.
I'll see if I can find a link.
Sort of like these, but with rigid sides so you could sit on them.

We prefer to take our duvets instead if sleeping bags, we vacuum pack them to maximise space.
I use stack and store tubs for everything, clothes, food etc, they also come in handy for washing up etc.
Campsites are super friendly and if you forget something another camper is usually happy to help by loaning a mallet etc.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Do you all have trailers or just very big cars. I can't see all this going in a normal car. We have a Picasso and an inflatable roof rack with bag. And I am worried about fitting it all in.
On the trip we are taking over the bank holiday we have 2 cars, so we should be ok. But when we go away in one car it will be very tight.0
