What is the one thing ( or 2-3 things) you couldn't do without when camping.
Comfy bed, dishwasher and flushing toilet.

That's why I'm not keen on camping.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Electric hook up and fan heater. Nothing else matters...

In many years of camping with Scouts, these were the things we forgot the most:

Gas spanner, tin opener, fag lighter (better than matches if you're cooking on gas IMO), tent pegs.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Seasoned camping friend never camps without a bucket/potty.

At 4am I can see the logic in that.
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I think you'll be fine OP!

I've not camped for years, but I remember always put the mallet near the top of the car boot, and invest in good tent pegs.

Check your air beds don't leak before you go, and why-oh-why would you need a travel iron :rotfl:? If your campsite has hairdryers you don't need to take one of those either.

Not been camping yet, but will be going in a few weeks. My list is a mixture of what's on the Mumsnet website and Netmums and UKCampsite lists, plus information gleaned from their forums. I'll be taking the list with us, and crossing off what we don't use, and added what we should have used.

We'll be camping light, but with a five year old for 1-2 nights. So picnic blanket rather than furniture to make room for his soft blanket and football.

My Dad only bought the trailer over yesterday. So our gear is still piled up in the lounge. And I can you we are not camping light.:rotfl: But there are 5 adults going. 5 camp beds (on legs), 5 chairs, 5 sleeping bags, 5 pillows. The list goes on and on.
And I don't have a tow bar on this car, so it will all have to in the 2 cars we are taking this time.
I am just using the trailer for storage at the moment, while I look for another shed.
