Princess sorry you are feeling glum my lovely. As others have said, things will work themselves out, stay strong xxx
DH had his op and his heart is back in rhythmthere is a chance I may get him home tomorrow! Trying not to get too excited and telling myself it will be Thursday
mil has bought me lunch everyday that she has come up and then today she tried to give me an envelope with cash/cheque in. I was very touched but refused, I kept telling her savings were meant for this type of thing etc eventually she took it back lol

The only tad of disappointment was to see you are not a Caitlyn ha ha I'm sure there is a story behind that! And a quick nosey question is that "you know who in the black and white dress with the white facinator ?
Ha! My name being the same as a famous movie star means I have picked up lots of silly nicknames from friends along the way that were intended, I'm sure, to make me feel better about everyone I meet making endless "Wow, do you have her looks/money?" 'jokes'! Caitlyn is one of those names I've picked up. (And yes, that is 'she who must not be named')FeistyFidget wrote: »last time he came out from hospital all the fear, anxiety and stress boiled over into an argument I picked over his stressful job. I'm mindful that I don't want the same thing to happen with the compensation.
Ohhh I know that feeling! Come and pick a fight here or rant at us, there's nothing worse than mid-way through an argument realising I've brought it on myself with my stupid emotions spilling over! Often I *think* OH and I are arguing about tidying the kitchen then it dawns on me mid-sentence that what I'm really mad about is some incident that happened three weeks ago!
But that said, you're going through all of this too, so remember not to bottle everything up with him. At the very least try and find some time for you - I've said it before but the stress of worrying about a loved one is often a lot worse than going through something yourself in my opinion!craftymummy wrote: »She shut her hand in my car door and ended up taking her to A&E last night to get it checked out. She couldn't make a fist with her hand and it was bruised pretty badly. Luckily nothing's broken. She was so tired, just let her rest today. She was so brave, didn't cry and even refused a free bar of chocolate that the lady at tesco has offered her.
That is VERY brave - I've done this twice (:o) and cried both times!! Once was on the way to taking OH to a hospital appointment, the other time was the day of a funeral. Nightmare both times, and it's become a standing joke now for people to shout 'CAREFUL!' as I shut a car door.
princesskitty29, it's understandable you feel down about that, all change is daunting and then there's the added 'grief' of losing what you know and have come to enjoy. I always try and 'pep' talk myself as I hate getting down but some days it just doesn't work, I find it easier now to think "just because I feel like this today, doesn't mean I'll feel like this tomorrow!" and just try to indulge in sheer feel-good factors - otters holding paws, cups of tea with chocolate etc...or things like this: http://www.youtube.com/v/faIFNkdq96U (!)0 -
Mrsinvisible you are too kind! You are always the one with the wise words. Sounds a busy day for you today. This weather must be driving you mad and keeping you out of the garden. Personally I think it's DHs fault- as soon as he got our garden furniture out the weather turned! xxx
Princess oh no the atmosphere can't be good for youWhat a shame when you previously enjoyed work that much.
Gettingtherequickly and Caitlyn advice was spot on. Your perfect job is waiting for you, this isn't going to last for ever. Fingers crossed the six weeks will fly by. Are you applying for other positions? Do you have a plan, something to look forward too (obviously the rest of your lives with DH) but work wise? You are always so positive I hate to think the situation is getting you downIm dying to hear what the YouTube clip is that Caitlyn has posted is it won't open on the iPad for some reason ! xxx
Pinksteps DS is doing well walking Teddyit must be very hard for him tho that he can't dance yet
Well done you on your mammoth clear out, I sold everything that wasn't screwed down last year to pay for our tickets to see DS and would do it again in a heartbeat, can honestly say I've not missed anything
Are you having the special glass made into a ring? Sorry I'm a bit slow today! Back out of lurkdom you must stay
xxx
Craftymummy keep your eye out for anything light enough to postOh your poor DD, how brave. Bless her too traumatised for chocolate she really did deserve a lazy day today
Bet it's still painful tomorrow xxx
Fiesty what are you like DMiL was trying to help, it would have made her feel better! You will have to practice saying "thank you" and let other people help. They obviously care enough to want toLecture over. Woo hoo Mr Fiestys heart is now behaving itself and he will be home very soon
That is good news, you will both be so much better/happier when he's recovering at home xxx
Caitlyn I just love the name but understand you must get stick all the time with having a namesake. She probably has people comparing her to you all the timeAnyway that was your maiden name, things are different now xxx
Moneysavingmumofone I feel like sending you a router! Missing youyou know it makes me uneasy when I don't hear from you!! I may have to resort to smoke signals ha xxx
Linky thinking of you my lovely xxx
A good day here in the Nanamia household, DGD2 to playgroup this morning took a new Mummy with her one year old who just loved it too. There has been a different play leader/worker the last few weeks and she's made such a difference, I took her managers details today so I could make sure she got some recognition for the great work she's been doing
I spent the afternoon chatting with my friend who is getting over the extensive treatment things are still tough for her but hopefully not for much longer. He DP kept me supplied with coffee bless him. And this evening some quality time with DH, who shamefully I take so much for granted:(The secret of Christmas

Yes, I've ordered the ring through a company called ashes into glass, it's a silver tribute ring with blue glass.
Really getting back into this Christmas lark, I've just ordered the nook e-reader for my mum to go with the pashminas. It's back in stock at Mr S, so I can't go wrong at that price. Here I go again smiling to myself because every time I write nook e-reader I giggle because it sounds like nookie reader

Trying to sort out a "theme" for Christmas gifts this year. I try to think of something that will be suitable for everyone and pick up bits throughout the year and then something "personal" for each person. Struggling this year
Was looking on ebay last night and am currently looking at nice smellies for the new teens, but not sure about everyone else, ranging from 8 up.

The video was Caine's Arcade Nanamia, about a little boy that builds his own arcade from cardboard. Really sweet and has inspired a worldwide movement of creativity and imagination since then. If you search for Caine's Arcade you'll probably find a version of it that will play somewhere!0
