Princess, beautiful pictures
Thank you so much for sharing.
DH was a bit brighter yesterday, but seems he will be in for quite a while yetThey have him on heparin and will attempt atrial fibrillation on Monday - he keeps telling me he would like to come home now
His hospital visit has already cost £125 since Wednesday and I am starting to panic slightly about our savings being eaten intoIt's about £8.75 in petrol for a round trip and the parking charges are terrible
I have done a mini shop for quick dinners to eat when home as was just nipping in the shops each day and spending a fortune. DMIL has bought me lunch and paid for one day of parking so far, I would be lost without them!
We have been advised to seek compensation for his accident. It wasn't something either of us wanted to do as worry people will see us as money-grabbersbut DHs auntie is a legal secretary and she has pointed out that seeing as it was his work places fault, they really shouldn't get away with it. Plus his SSP isn't going to stretch, and because I am self employed we currently have no income coming in
More stress to add to the pile x
Oh and any cold remedies would be a god send right now, as I am full of it. I'm worried I'm going to banned which would really cause me to meltdown.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Dear Feisty, spent all my professional life in occupational health and my advice is go for it. The employers I worked for had the attitude that we are responsible for your health and well being at work, because your health is your working capital, if we damage that, then we make you less employable, so we must make recompense. They will have employer liability insurance, so it will pay, not the employer. No one will see you as a money grabber, quite the opposite, you have tried to manage without,
Hope that helps, and that Mr F I feeling a bit better today.
Nanamia, I hate those nights too, mercifully I can rest up the next day, not bake and decorate professional standard yummy yummy cakes. You are wonderful. DDil has emailed me the last (hopefully) documents the embassy need before they issue my visa. This time next month I will be there.
Princess lovely piccies, gave mea lift seeing all that joy.
DGS is with his daddy this weekend, and as it is raining my patio will receive no attention, ah, well0 -

Make a claim - my oh had an accident and needed surgery he claimed through his union it took 2 1/2 yrs to settle but in the end he got a decent payout and the company accepted full liabilityThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Feisty fidget - Please please do not see it as being money grabbers, your husbands health has been affected so you have a right to be recompensed.
I am still suffering with my back and that was due to a fall at work over 5 years ago. I did not make a claim against my employer even though it was their fault. It has cost me a lot of money in prescriptions, time off work, new mattresses and have missed a lot of family parties and special occasions due to the pain from the accident.I regret not making a claim as it was nothing personal against them and their insurance company would of paid out. I hope you are ok and get well soon, I always find beechams flu plus capsules are fantastic! Hope your hubby makes a speedy recovery xx
Caitlyn22- the pictures are fantastic, you all look like you had a fantastic time
Pink steps- the pashminas are gorgeous aren’t they? Really good quality, have even treated myself to one for my Christmas stocking haha
Nanamia- that cake is gorgeous!
Well quick update for you lovely lot. After traction on Tuesday I have been in a lot of pain. I went to physio yesterday and he wasn’t happy. He is the head physio and was covering for my usual physio this week as she was on holiday. He did the traction on Tuesday but yesterday when I got to the physio dept I could hardly walk! He put me straight on the electrotherapy machine ( like a big tens machine) and gave me a pair of crutches to use over the weekend. He explained that as my sciatic nerve is still compressed and very inflamed it is causing me a lot of pain so there is nothing else they can do. If there is no improvement by Monday then I will be reffered to the advanced practioner physios where further tests will be done and then I will probably see a consultant again.
It’s the daughters 3rd birthday on Monday and I am fit for nothing. Going to just make it as special as I can and we are hoping to take her out for tea and take her to the Disney store and build a bear at the Trafford centre. Alt least its all under one roof then haha.0 -
Fiesty still thinking of you and praying your cold will go away so you can still see your hubby.
Caitlyn what lovely pics!! I think some people have confused us as I haven't posted any of my wedding pics on here - i'm not that organised to have them uploaded yet! :rotfl:It looked like a beautiful wedding and your dress is lovely! We got our professional photo's through today and although it was really exciting looking through them, I still can't believe we actually did what was in all of those photo's!
04624181 so sorry you are still suffering so much, it must be absolutely awful for you. Have you got lots of help for your daughters birthday?0 -
I popped in to town on Wednesday lunch time and found this for 99p in the Card Factory:
It's one of those savings tins that you need a tin opener to open. Could be good for the rest of this year or to start using next year?
I bought it as a little Christmas present for my auntie who loves Christmas but i'm now thinking I want to get one for my mum and me!
By the way it is much bigger than a standard tin that you usually get, like a tin of baked beans for example.0 -
Well, I finally did it! Having had to buy a new laptop and losing my old spreadsheets, have finally got a new spreadsheet so I now know where I am with things. Thought I had more stuff, or maybe have some some place else. Anyway, have bought a new wardrobe for spare room which was delivered today, so will kill 2 birds with one stone when sorting that out. Can't wait as the one in there is currently one of those flimsy thing will poles etc, so I will have something solid for top of it storage, god, my mum would kill me if she saw such appalling grammar but you all know what I mean!
Hugs for those who need them. Can't remember whose signature says prep for Christmas begins in July - you're a bit late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A smile costs little but creates much0 -
