Beautiful cakes as always Nanamia
Well DH was delivered this morning at 7.30 (5.40 start) and although no one can officially find him, I have been told that he has had the operation and in the process of being moved. I am clinging onto the fact that he must have made it through the operation okay as otherwise they would have called. I was doing fine until we had 3 different consultants explain all the different risks that his congenital heart disease brings to the operation.
Managed to put a brave face on when they said he would definitely be staying overnight. Wanted to cry (can't even cope going away with girlfriends as it means leaving him) but didn't want to upset him. Diet can sod off as I think I may be about to go and spend a small fortune on comfort food!2024 Challenges

Comfort food sounds like a very good idea Feisty, you need to be kind to yourself whilst DH is recuperating. Hope he's let out of hospital soon!
I wanted to comment on everyone else as well, as I keep up to date just don't really post but I'm not really with it, currently off work with a virus that's making me look like Quasimodo (can't really open my right eye and it's bright pink!). We're signing all the house paperwork next week so I could really do with being back on my feet asap!
Also just had a strange experience buying my car insurance. I got a quote about a week ago for just over £250 but decided to buy it through a cashback website, which advised I needed to get a brand new quote to qualify. I did, putting the exact same info in and the quote shot up by £100! £40 cashback isn't worth it for that!Hobnobs are like marines0 -
Feisty -hope your DHs op went well. Keep ringing the hospital for update. They used to shift change round 10pm so ring just after that so you can sleep tonight. Hope you get to visit him soon. And it's def comfort food time

Scrap that - apparently his heart is stuck out of rhythm
They are going to attempt IV medication and then discuss alternatives if that doesn't work.
On the plus side I get to see him tomorrow at just after 10am2024 Challenges
