    Xmas Saver!
    edited 17 May 2013 at 8:06AM
On the Christmas front, I am no further forward, but as I accidently deleted my present list app on my tablet today, I have spent over an hour redoing it. Thank goodness I had it on my phone and on here, or I would have cried.

The rest of my evening has been very nice. I have been on facebook swapping pictures of grandparents, gt grandparents and gt gt grandparents etc with my 3rd or 4th or removed cousins. :rotfl: I will work it out one day
Their Nans were my Grandfathers Aunts.

I had pictures of their Grandparents etc they hadn't seen and vice versa.

It sounds strange saying I knew my gt gt aunts, when some people don't know their gt aunts.
Because it was a large family we are all roughly the same age. I come from the oldest child,(my gt gt nan) while they come from the youngest 3, who were only a couple of years older than my grandfather. I am confusing every again aren't I . :rotfl:

Anyway it was the most fun I have had in a long time, even if I was sitting here on my own. :)

Eta Yes I have pictures of my gt gt grandparents and some gt gt gt uncles.

Thank you for all of the comments about my cake, you are very kind. :)

Nitnurse have a really fabulous holiday and enjoy yourself, you and your OH won't know what to do with yourselves without the kids! :p How exciting.

msgigglewick what an exciting profession! I'm sure it isn't fun all the time but being a wedding planner must be quite a happy job? I hope your sty goes soon, flippin' annoying things they are.

Hanley your Skylander party sounds fantastic! It sounds like you've put a lot of effort into it so i'm sure the kids will love it - all of them! Then you'll be able to relax in Tunisia, have a lovely time. Oh talking of Pinterest, I hadn't been on there for a while then went on last night - I seem to have lost a couple of hours!! :p

Feisty I was so thrilled to log on and see that you have your OH back at home with you, you must be so relieved that he's back where he belongs. Look after each other. Well done on reaching your £1k, what a great milestone! And bless your MiL, they can't help themselves. My in laws are the same, you can't say no to them! They give it to you one way or another!

Noodles good effort with the presents! And all under £50, well done! It's really satisfying getting things for such a reasonable amount isn't it? Can I ask where you got the microwavable popcorn for 29p and the mini bottle of wine for £1? I'm going to make some fudge like you mentioned, a while ago I picked up a small lovely tin with a robin on it for £1, i'm going to wrap some fudge in a cellophane food bag then pop it in there and give it to my auntie. I will keep an eye out for the One Direction cd (even if it does ruin my street cred! :rotfl:).

OMO I can imagine looking at all of those photo's was enjoyable, I find it fascinating looking at old photo's of family members and remembering that we are all in one family line.

Well I popped to Asda this morning and picked up a couple of Christmas bits. I'm making a 'curl up with a book' hamper for a friend and found a lovely deep red fleece blanket for her to snuggle under for £2.97. Then I picked up two small sticker fun books for 80p each for my shoe boxes. I have done them on and off for years, the last two years I planned to do them but didn't get into gear in time, so this year i'm buying things through the year and popping them in a shoe box as I go.

Noodles I'm intrigued too! Wine and popcorn for £1.29 would also make a good addition to movie night hampers :)

Inspired by everyones Christmas shopping I have just ventured onto very and got £64.45 worth of shopping for £34.45 (including delivery). I also checked the prices on Amazon and I've still saved £27.18 :)

    I managed to get the following;

Tokyo Laundry Tshirt for Second Cousin
Police Original aftershave 100ml for Cousin
Moon Sand Grocery Set for Second Cousin
Gross Science Zombie Hand for Second Cousin
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean on DS for Second Cousin
Two anti allergy pillows for me

If anyone else is interested you need to sign up to a 0% APR credit account (I paid mine off immediately after the order went through) and then use voucher code 3KYJM or 3LXXU. I am almost 100% complete on shopping list items I need to buy for (DH doesn't count). I actually plan to clear some cupboard/wardrobe space in August and get wrapping!

  • Thanks Feisty. I am so pleased to hear about the homecoming x:j:j:j:j

Noodle86…Some great presents there. Any chance of a picture for the sleighs? You don’t need to unwrap the items. Just kind of build them up to give the idea.xx:D

PrincessKitty…I hope we do enjoy the holiday but I did say to DH last week “What are we going to talk about for 10 days?”…:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    xxx
Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
