Oh Linky I'm just about still in time to wish you and Louise a very happy birthday :) I truly hope you've enjoyed you day xxx
Freespirit you poor thing I've missed you - my night owl pal :( There has been so many gastric bugs doing the rounds ( one end or the other) last week there were 60 pupils at our local primary school absent and 6 teaching staff :( As well as being a nasty bug it's left people feeling pretty rough for a few days after too :( Wishing you a very speedy recovery and if you see that black dog lurking shake your blooming stick at it. I've missed you xxx
Feisty I'm glad you listened to your old Nan in the end. Your MiL wanted the opportunity to help, she'll have been very worried about you both and it'll have made her feel better that she could do something nice for you. I'm delighted DH is home, a few "buzz off world" days are in order now. DH and I used to close the front door and breathe a sigh of relief and take a few days to recharge our batteries. Think the enormity of what happened hits when you get home and everything catches up with you. So please please please be kind to yourselves the next few days xxx Im delighted to see that signature smash the £1000 barrier :) woo hoo go girl :) xxx
Picnmix hiya, good to see you.
Rebel Hedgehog ooooooh love the countdown thank you
Princess wow what can I say your cake and cupcakes looked amazing, I adore the display. How clever you are. As for ringing the play leaders manager, I do try and give praise where praise is due whenever I can. I think if somebody has gone the extra mile they deserve it, as you say we are quick enough to complain. It was really heartwarming to hear the managers delight at the compliment I ended up putting it in writing to be used in a review :) Sometimes it's nice just to be nice :) xxx
Nit-nurse I'm glad you are still posting, we just like to chat and listen here, it's just a bonus when it's festive :) DH and I went away two years ago, just for a week, first holiday without the children etc OMG I couldn't believe how relaxing it was, I envy you. Enjoy, you'll find loads to chat about and remember why you " fell " for him in the first place:) xxx
Hanley wow your party planning sounds amazing, you've put such a lot into it :) it's gonna be fab.
The Nanamia household has yet again been manic! Starting with first thing yesterday morning- a new neighbour of ours fell from the loft ladder straight down the stairs :( amazingly she walked over to our house to ask advice! Thankfully after a trip to A&E she's mainly unscathed, a few bumps, nasty bruises and a query fractured arm. Unbelievable really considering the height and angle of the fall. DH had to chuckle at another Florence Nightingale performance from me ha ha, but she knocked on my door what was I to do!
More cakes for this weekend too, one was collected about 10pm, I've been working on them all day- I'm shattered now will post pictures tomorrow :) Night night all xxx

Mrsinvisible how long now till you go? What sorts of things do you take over? I know I'm nosey! I've instructions to bring Clarkes sandals for DGD1, I posted the clarkes measure a few weeks ago so hopefully we will be ok. Think DS would like some food things he's missed but I'm not taking any food into Oz. They are mega strict and I don't fancy a luggage search, I'm nervous enough as it is :) xxx

morning everyone, more rain = no patio work = aaarrrggghhh
everyone is getting festive again, yippee, go for it. In a way, I wish I had more to buy for, as I still see things that my mum and dad would have loved, and as for DH, well, almost every day I do something (eg coming down the escalator in Debenhams caught sight of a display of mens PJs, and headed off to see if they had his size, before I remembered), still, never mind, I still feel close to them which is a comfortable feeling.
Nanamia, it is 3 weeks and 2 days to wait, as for what I get asked to bring, it is a random list, paracetamol, calpol, tixylix, extra strong m&s teabags, any mail, stuff dil has ordered online and delivered here, m&s underwear, pyjamas, thermals, yes, clarks sandals/trainers, yoyo fruit whirls and frooty strips, that sort of thing toddler toilet wipes, as I say, random.
My visa application has been forwarded to the embassy, so should be approved this week and returned.
Hope everyone is well, not too much stressing and loads of hugs to all xx

I hope your trip's amazing, mrsinvisible.

I'm on bedrest  purely a precaution but I am confined to sitting or lying down. Total rubbish and I am wildly bored. And I could have done ALL my Christmas shopping online while lying here, but it's already almost all done! I did buy 150 feet of Christmas wrapping paper for 2 quid on Halfcost today though and maybe once my monster child goes back to KG on Tuesday I can sit up and do some crafting without her in-and-out nosing around :)

I want a couple of nice gifts for my dad, but he's just finished radiotherapy and I'm a bit wary of buying in advance, if you see what I mean.

Mrsinvisible bless you, that must be very hard for you. I didn't realise you'd lost your DH :( I have a similar list except no food items but calpol, paracetamol, Zantac. No more work on your garden today then! Tomorrow is supposed to be better (so they say) xxx

Sugarspun how frustrating for you :( it'll be worth it tho when you get a cuddle of your bundle of joy :) I could employ you as my personal shopper you'd whip through my list in no time :) only thing is I'm waiting til we are back from DSs in August! Thinking of you xxxx

Moneysavingmumofone hoping you get to pop in today if you go to your Mums :) hello, hi, how are you, I miss you ??????? xxxxx

Just to say that my local House of Fraser is selling alot of their Linea home smellies range BOGOF. They had lovely candles and reed diffusers which would make lovely Christmas prezzies - I might get some for some family members. They were also selling some Yankee Candles at 50% off. HTH
