Has anybody else got snow today? Nine inches fell here over night, none of the main roads have been gritted nevermind the smaller ones. Wrexham has come to a standstill.

This is our street this morning and it's still coming down. I hope they don't cancel the football for you but they may not be able to play if you get it like this. :(

I am currently cuddled up on the sofa with dd watching a dvd (cannot watch Sky as there's no signal due to the snow). I'm not planning on going anywhere today, it'll be a good day to get all those little jobs done that I've been meaning to do but never get round to. Need to go and find ds again as he keeps disappearing upstairs and dh is sleeping off a nightshift! I will have a very naggy hubby if he gets woken up one more time.

    gosh, Hanley, that looks......snowy.
Nanamia, surprised she didn't put 'fix heating' on list (lol) I know what you mean about spreading yourself thin, but at times they need you to. Go Nanamia.
Today is cold but no snow, here, I should go shopping but I'm weighing up the benefit of staying warm but breadless, or getting cold and eating.
I could always stay in and bake bread, but then I'd need to go out to visit the dentist for repairs to broken teeth, (even the seagulls can't take off after trying to eat it.)
And I need to make new kitchen curtains anyway, so the answer is..... scones!
Have a fab, assertive, positive day all, xxx

Ok he's back downstairs now. Found him building lego in the bathroom! :)

I have been making notes for the past few days but not had chance to post so here goes:

Feisty - I'm glad you managed to sort everything out with your Nan's finances must be a weight off your mind. Also well done you for standing up for yourself, bet that felt great. It's something I need to do more often too. :)

Nanamia - Wow you've been busy. You are such a lovely person and it's so nice to know there are people like you in this world. :D

Noodles - I try to spend the same on my 2. It's more for me than them as they really don't know any different. It was more difficult when dd was a baby because she really didn't need loads of toys e.t.c so what I did was buy her a new car seat and buggy as she needed them and then just told myself that they were her Xmas pressies even though she had then a few months before. Like I said it's more for me than them and that's how I convinced myself that they were getting the same. :rotfl:

Princesskitty - Your cake looks amazing and I hope you do make your own for the wedding. I love the doves. My SIL wants really traditional stuff for her wedding and I'm going to show her your cake as I'm sure it's something she would love.
