I would think that an itemised list of regular expenditures would suffice: hairdressers XX.XX every 6 weeks, trips out approx XX.XX monthly, newspapers XX.XX weekly, adult pads 75 every however long etc. Everyone likes a nice spreadsheet.jakesbakescakes wrote: »Sugarspun - how's that wriggly bump coming along? dd4 is on the mend... bursts of energy then having to sit down for a bit... how you are meant to get a 3yr old who's hyper anyway to rest is beyond me but shes not pushing herself too much i don't think. ty for the wishes.
Was looking through the book depositry site earlier and came across christmas origami book down to £2.48 i think it was. so ordered one of those for an elf activity... double that + on amazon.
Doing well with my savings for dd1's college. got £80 of the £160 for her uniform and chef knives so far.. then just need to find another £100 to sort out her prom dress and ticket for that i think... then the joys of having to save up for dd2 and 3's new school uniforms for sept.. dd3's starting secondary school and we all know how much that costs! luckily half can be got in the supermarket offers then the rest has to be labelled. specially the sports stuff as she is bound to be in the teams there (only sporty one i have lol)
The joys of children is the expensive? lolTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Princesskitty29 Sorry to hear about your job.
Ameyturtle What type of puppy are you getting ? Sorry to hear about your dog.
Well, my car passed it's MOT today. So that was very nice. Then when I got home I took Ds to Phones4U to get him a i-phone 4s. We left the shop 2 and a half hours later with 2 i-phone 5's.
I ended up with a free up grade, so I bought a £10 sim card and now dd has my old 3g. Not sure how it worked, but I gave Orange £163 over the phone to upgrade my phone early and the shop manager gave me £163 in cash to pay back into my back.
I have ordered a couple of flip cases off e-bay for 99p each with free p&p. I have no idea how they do it so cheaply, but I am glad they do.
I am going to have to use my new phone without a case until they arrive, which I really don't like doing, but I have no choice. The ones in the shop where £15 and I was not paying that.
Not sure if it is me or it is getting colder, but I am freezing.0 -
Hello everyone
I must catch up more often! I've been pretty ill off IVF drugs for the last couple of months, and I'm finally back to normal.
I'm starting my Christmas shopping lists tonight, and will be scouring ebay for a few bits and bobs my nieces and nephews are after.
Also got 2 furby's from the recent Tesco offer for my best friend's two girls. I really do need to get my head down and start with the planning!
Sending love and hugs to all who need them xo

freespirit-They dont seem to have any leeway for personal circumstances sometimes do they.
I used to pay my council tax late quite a lot (by a few days) when OH had his old job, it was always fine as by the time they go to send a letter out to you you've paid it so not much they can do about it I suppose!
Ameyturtle-Lovely to 'see' you here, sorry to hear about your dog though. What puppy are you getting? My brother has just got a puppy thats a cross everything pretty much lol but he is a cutie.
msgigglewick-Bless your DD, its so hard getting hyper children to 'rest' isnt it! When my DS broke his arm he had to have an operation to set it back into place and afterwards he had to elevate his arm for an hour so he was hooked onto this metal stand. That was a job and a half getting him to stay still for an hour, after he was unhooked there was no stopping him. He was in the playroom and outside playground until they discharged him, you'd have never known he'd just had a general anaesthetic!! Glad she is on the mend and you're doing fab saving for all those expenses! x
DomRavioli-Sorry youve not been well but glad you are feeling better and back on the thread.
Nanamia-You always make me smile.x
mrsinvisible-Your post made me chuckle, you have a great way with words.
OMO-Glad the car passed! :j I always wonder how they make money on those phone cases too! x
Well, feeling a bit jumbled today. DS is having problems with children at school and a certain member of staff and after years of struggling with certain things at school (shyness, retaining information etc) but being generally happy he is now quite unhappy.Breaks my heart.
I so wanted him to avoid the problems I had but feels like history is repeating itself. Its parents evening next week so will get all the facts together before then so I dont come across a bumbling mess as usual!

Own_My_Own wrote: »Sadly I have had an email saying my Gt Aunt died a few years ago, and they no longer have contact with her son.
I have also traced my tree back to King William the Conquer.
My parents also come from the same family, back in the 1600's, through a brother and sister.
I also have a Mayor of London in the 1700's.
I found my Dads Dads family quite easy. They came from a small village in Suffolk and stayed there for generations.(1500's - late 1800's). I expect the line is still there today. It did get a little confusing when cousins starting marrying, but if you are related to the whole village, you don't have much choice do you.:rotfl:
Blimey! It sounds like you've really followed all of the lines, really interesting stuff! My dad has gone back down a few lines but i'm sure there is so much more to learn. Isn't it funny to learn you are down the fqamily history line of someone like William the Conquer! I'm sure we must all go back to people like that but it's exciting to find out! I get fascinated by this stuff and then frustrated because I can't go back and see what it was really like, rather than just using my imagination!0 -
Betsie i'm really sorry the mediation didn't go well, I hope you can try to relax for a bit now and manage to gather yourself up again and can get things resolved.
Fiesty i'm glad to hear your cousin has manged to account for all but £500 of the money, that must be a weight off your mind!
moneysavingmumofone I love having SAM 99p as another choice! I moved out of Reading about 6 months ago but still pop back from time to time.I am sorry to hear about the problems your son is having, I do hope you can get things sroted out with the school.
Ameyturtle so sorry to hear about your dog, it is hard as they really become part of the family. Hugs.0 -
Well I practiced my cake again today and to be honest it's still not great but I am getting to the point where I DON'T CARE! (I actually just wrote that as I DON'T CAKE - you can tell what i've got on the brain!). I know from the sounds of me over the last week or so I sound like a Bridezilla but I promise you i'm not, i've made quick decisions about things and not really got hung up on anything but this cake thing has bothered me! But anyway as I said it's just cake, it's really not that important. Anyway, here's a pic of my attempt:
<div style="width:480px;text-align:right;"><embed width="480" height="360" src="http://pic2.pbsrc.com/flash/rss_slideshow.swf" flashvars="rssFeed=http:%2F%2Ffeed1306.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fs570%2Fprincesskitty29%2Ffeed.rss" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" /><a href="javascript:void(0);" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_geturs.gif" style="border:none;" /></a><a href="http://s1306.photobucket.com/user/princesskitty29/library/" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_viewall.gif" style="border:none;" alt="princesskitty29's album on Photobucket" /></a></div>
As you can see, it's no Nanamia cake! It looks a bit messy, I don't know whether when I come to do it again I can make it any better, but I guess this is the risk I take if I want a non-iced cake as it were. But that's it - i'm not going to bore you with any more cake chat!!
By the way yes it is freezing OMO, I bought a fake fur stole to put around my shoulders on my wedding day but if it's still like this it's really not going to cut it!!0 -
