My oh my have I had a busy day. DH and I have been clearing our box room to make it into a bedroom for DGD2. Started yesterday how does one 48 yr old harbour so much carp? (Me) Tiny box room was home to my craft table, cake decorating equipment and supplies, plus card making equipment and supplies (only I've not been seriously making cards for agggges) Plus DGDs toys. Where to put it all. I've jiggled and juggled and it's mostly got a new home and we've ordered her a toddler bed, got bedding and curtains so well on our way
Need to quickly go over with emulsion and go through the toy boxes ( ruthlessly) Im hoping it'll be all beautiful for next weekend - I've got her in the morning for playgroup so it'll be her first look at the work in progress. Hope she likes it
Been out for our celebration tea with DSiLShe walked into the restaraunt -no stick she's such a superstar. She walked round to mine for coffee this morning with the stick in her hand just in case. (Only 8 doors away) We had such a good laugh, really don't know why we don't do it more often. Definitely a day to count our blessings.
Having spent the last 2 hours reading the mortgage forum and scaring myself silly that me and OH won't get a mortgage, can I just say that was such a delight to read, you have such a good aura and it's had a lovely calming effect thank youHobnobs are like marines0 -

Glad little un went to party x I have no children but can appreciate how hard it is x I the fun auntie and glad to say nieces and nephews can talk to me about anything and know there for them x some just becoming teenagers so mum is uncool but aunt is fun x I always let sister know what they telling me at mo as it silly little things but major issues to them x
We usually find a way of sorting it although they don't realise that mum has been involved x will wait til mum is cool again ( it my younger sister lol and she so more up to the minute with things than i am)

Jenny so glad you are phoning the doctors today
I am a great believer in lists! Fingers crossed it will get you through
Well I have booked a parcel collection today through myhermes (slightly worried at bad reviews on here) and as they can pick up anytime from 8am to 8pm I have to stay in, what a shame
Can anyone share me a link to the works star cutters? I really want to make some tree displays, in my head they look awesome!
Last night was very stressful, I still have a pounding headache from it all. Children were trying to interact with me, I was trying to concentrate and now I am so paranoid that I may have made a mistake. It took hours, no dinner and after a full days nursing I was already exhausted. There are a lot of cash withdrawals across the month (ranging from £40 to £200) that my cousin cannot remember what they were for. I know that it would have been for odd bill payments, household expenses, gifts etc, but my cousin has worked herself up into a hell of a state worrying that it looks suspicious. I just don't know how to console her[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Feisty, cross-reference bills due and events requiring gifts with the withdrawals. Faffy but you have all that information somewhere to hand, it's just a matter of matching, say, electricity due on the 5th with a withdrawal on the 4th. Does that make sense?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
It took over half hour to get through only to find all taken grrrr
Told them needed sick note so been booked in for phone call consultation for tomorrow x
Needed to rant !!!!!!!!!!0 -
Is there anyway at all of getting a statement ?
My nan used to keep lists written on backs of receipts any chance of the same x
Things like a grocery list but then other things like electric 10 etc !
Know it worrying sorting other people affairs out x
Really shouldake mine more easy to follow just in case x0 -
Thank you everyone
Sadly all regular bills were set up by direct debit, so they are accounted for. On average there was about £300 a month being withdrawn in cash a month since my cousin took over finances. She has always looked after Nan and withdrawn money for her when requested, so she didn't really think through having to keep records. Now they are being legally requested they look a messIt will be for things such as hair dressers, money for visits out, paper bills, adult pads (£75 an order!) etc but trying to prove it is going to be impossible. Also, we have no way of knowing for definite what each cash withdrawal was for as there is no paper trail
I asked them to get me bank statements for the last year, which they have and this was when I flagged all the random cash withdrawals.

That is a tough job x
Reading through here made me take head out of sand x I entered iva a while back so as I was feeling bit better and time on hands gave them a call x
I so excited my iva has finished and there just some paperwork left but I will be £400 a month better off x
Can pay my car of quicker x
Thank you everyone for giving me confidence to confront this x
Defo going to help with my stress levels x0 -
feisty - oh my lovely what a sad and stressful time you are having
It sounds like you are being an absolute saint trying to organise all that paperwork as well as keeping 3 businesses going, looking after DH and keeping on top of life in general!!!! I can't really add anything helpful but, just as others have said, cross referencing cash withdrawals with events/diary dates. This will all come right in the end my love and you sound so strong dealing with it all in such a calm and systematic manner. Big hugs. BTW you made me chuckle out loud when i read your post the other day about the ungrateful brats (well not that bit!) but your comment that... it made you even more resigned about moving away next year!! good on you
keeping taking care of those pennies - exciting times ahead xxx
OMO your family tree links sound very exciting - really hope you manage to track down your relatives. Totally loving those prom dresses you linked at the weekend xxx
TrendyJenny - fantastic to hear about your lovely weekend - every girl needs a big handbag!! heheeshame about the drs appt - our surgery is like that too.
Nanamia - ha your DGD is a very lucky girl getting such a lovely guest room all of her own and having such lovely grandparents to go and stay with. I'm sure you will all have great fun. Fantastic to hear that your DSIL continues to improve - she deserves a medal!!! I know what you mean about the best days stemming from the simplest things - like meeting up for a brew with friends or family. People seem to have such busy lives these days that we often forget the little things - the ones that really do make a difference eh?
Betsie - hope things go ok with the mediator today xxx
Sugarspun - how's that wriggly bump coming along? Hope you are feeling well - exciting times
Freespirit - your baking sounds lovely (and relaxing too) xxx
MsGigglewick - glad you've shifted your flu and are on the mend
I am having one of those silly days where I've got heaps - literally heaps - to do and organise and I've just seemed to procrastinate and waste the day away! Feisty, like you, I am a list girl - lists about the lists I need to write!!! Lol!!! Now it hardly seems worth starting on anything else cos I'm off in 20 mins to collect the kids!!!! Hey ho!
Happy days xxx0
