Betsie2010-Sorry the meeting did not go well.
FeistyFidget-Great news Feisty, dont like you having all that stress to deal with. xx
Well we got our nice council tax bill today, knew we owed a lot from last year but theres nearly £500 extra that we definitely do not owe! So will have to sort that out tomorrow. *sigh* Plus the first payment has to be paid by 1st April but OH doesnt get paid until the 5th so it will be late! Also forgot to budget for the food on DS' birthday (also 1st April) so am going to attempt the cake with the stuff I already have in and hopefully scrape together the money for party food. Will have to have a big ebay list-a-thon tomorrow evening! Dont need too much food so if I make £25 ish that should cover it. Luckily all other birthday bits have been bought except helium balloons which I discovered are sold in the new 99p shop (SAM 99P, excited to see it as they have one in Reading which is fab!) in town so only need a few pounds for those!'They only had one cow!'0 -
Glad it turning out well x as you tell us x think positive x0

Ah, just seen your later post Feisty so ignore what I said just now, looks like you've got it covered now.
Have to say I'm really confused over the whole baking thing - don't get me wrong, I totally love cake - but two words I could never put in the same sentence are baking (or cooking of any sort) and relaxing :rotfl: It would be stress all the way for me!It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE i am in the same predicament, DD2s rent doesnt go into my bank until the 4th so i will be late each month as well, good luck with sorting out money you dont owe them, last year i had to change the ct into my name only after splitting with my husband, admittedly i wasnt in the right mindset to do it straightaway, but just kept paying it anyway, they then said i had to PROVE it was me who paid it and not him, although they could see it on computer screen it had been paid?? I was fuming, she said it was my fault i should have let them know as soon as he left, so i said were you open xmas eve at 4pm then? Because that is when my husband told us he was having an affair and i threw him out, she shut up then!!#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

:T THANKS :T
Just spent the last hour picking, cropping and ordering prints.
I could only get them down to £4.94 each, as they kept adding a special coating even when I declined it. But I'm not really that bothered. I have some lovely pictures of Robbie with various people to use a gifts.0 -
Dropsofjupiter thank you, I think that's one of the nicest things anybody has ever said to me
it made me quite emotional to be honest. Funnily enough my friend (the one that's undergoing the chem/radio therapy) says I'm better than a glass of Baileys ha ha. I hope you and OH are able to sort a mortgage very soon
Feisty glad you survived you really are a superstar. Hope "staying in all day wasn't too bad" considering you had DH to keep you companywink wink
Trendy well done you. Glad to hear the weekend was a success sounded just what the dr ordered (if you could get an appointment) hope the sick note was sorted on the phone - one less thing for you to worry about. Some days getting up and dressed was my only achievement so know exactly how you feel. I love lists too, bit OCD about them.
Betsie I'm sorry today didn't go better for youalthough your ex behaviour has now been witnessed and noted in public so others can see how unreasonable he is.
Peppa I know it's hard to explain the baking thing Caitlyn found the perfect words to describe it but I can't find it now! It was something along the lines of being in control, in the kitchen and baking in general. You know exactly where you stand. I will have to have another look and quote her
Princess I'm so pleased you sound so much better this weekI'm certain a perfect job will come along very soon. It's a very exciting time for you now, concentrate on that and your new lives together

Moneysavingmumofone wooo hooo I'm glad the uniform turned upwhat are little boys like? Still it's back now. Arrghh to the council tax - if they are anything like Manchester they are a nightmare to get through to - hours on the phone- only to be told to put it in writing - then they have no record of any letter!!! Hope you get sorted soon. You'll easy do a tea party on your eBay sales and DSs cake will I'm sure be brill. He's a lucky little fella:)
Freespirit how is your back today? Are you still eating goodies from your bake-a-thon ?
Jakesbakescakes I had a little chuckle "guest room" how delightful. I think that's what I will call it now. It's really our pleasure to be able to have her to stay over she a delight. And very good company:)
Linky ooooh don't be thinking you are too posh to mingle now will you xxx
Well playgroup this morning with DGD2, took her up to look at the progress in her bedroom before we left and chatted about what was to go where. Bless her she's adorable. The bed unfortunately didn't arrive! Hopefully tomorrow. Need to give the walls a quick lick first anyway. Ended up coming home from playgroup early, DGD2 full of a cold - has been for days- but she came and said "Need calpol Nana" poor thing so home we came. xxxxThe secret of Christmas

morning, been awake since daft oclock, old age is a bl@@dy nuisance!
Hope you all have a great day, Hugs and congrats in all the appropriate places, (and tugs forelock to Nanamia) .You know, this thread attracts its fair share of royalty/deity/saints.
My drs surgery is not so bad as yours, can usually get an appointment the day you ask, or the next day. If you want to see a specific sawbones you may have to wait a bit longer, but not too long.
Have written to the council to ask about the discretionary housing fund to see if I can get some help with the bedroom tax for my 2 adult disabled children, both living independently, but both affected by 'under-occupancy'. Shy bairns get no broth, so hope they can get their bowls half-filled at least.
Love seeing the cake pics, must get training in uploading pics, then I can give you all a laugh by posting my culinary disasters (daily event) so much so that my neighbour will call with news of hers and ask me how to disguise it, rename it, or rescue it, as I have so much experience!
Well, off to get dgs1 up and ready for school, and thendecide which list to look at and ignore... will it be housework? or shopping? garden? or uncompleted tasks? decisions eh?0 -
That made me giggle x thanks mrs invisible x0

Hello Lovelies!
I promise to check in more!
So since I last posted we had to have our dog Charlie put to sleep, today is a little bit sad as he would have been 8 today.
Anyway not a great deal of Christmas prep going on which is naughty of me, I have however picked up some sort of bargains for Easter. 8 for £1 creme eggs in home bargains and 360g bags of mini eggs for £1.49, 4 for £1 caramel bunnies, kinder eggs 49p each 120g boxes of malteasers £, I am now most of the way to having easter sorted
We will be getting another puppy so I have bought a small set of bowls on a stand for him.
Also my birthday is April 4th
I'm currently sorting through my lush stuff so if there are any lush fans and you are looking for anything in particular let me know
Love and hugs all xxx0
