I hope you have glorious weather but I did read somewhere the other day that its good luck if it rains on your wedding day. Something to do with a wet knot is harder to untie/break? (tying the knot)
Thanks moneysavingmumofone, that cheered me up! It's a very nice way to think about it.Yes I love the book hamper idea, i'm doing one for one friend with wine and a blanket to snuggle under, and one for another friend with bubble bath and a candle as she says the only time she can read in peace is in the bath! :rotfl: And no you're quite right, it wouldn't be too good an idea to put wine in the 8-year-old's basket!
That is such fab news about B&M! Gosh if you worked there would you not end up buying everything?!
The town I live in has absolutely no discount stores, it's all very posh shops so my shopping is limited! We're surrounded by a few bigger towns, I think Slough is the town with the closest B&M, however we never go shopping in Slough. I often go to Reading as I work near there, but the B&M there is not right in the town and it's on the opposite side of town to where I work so if I travelled there i'd be doing it in rush hour - Reading is not pretty in rush hour! I do love it when I get to go to a B&M though, I can imagine your excitement! :j

princesskitty-Your day will be wonderful.
My nearest town centre is Slough.
I like it for shopping, we have B&M, Poundworld, Poundland, 99p Store, Wilkinsons, Primark, Card Factory and some other nice little shops. Oh and Sam 99p now of course! :j We sometimes have The Works, they seem to open then close a few months later then open again, close again etc etc lol, its very strange! The nearest town to my Mum is not posh exactly but does only really have more expensive shops.
The only 'cheap' shop is Poundland really, the other shops are more for clothes shopping! We have got stuck in Reading traffic before when we went on a Home Bargins jaunt lol, not fun is it! And yes, I think I would buy everything! :rotfl:
Trendyjenny-It is lethal isnt it especially at Christmas, I have to be strict with myself.(that doesn't work in Home Bargains though, I have NO self control there haha)

I feel quite left out - could someone please enlighten me as to what a Sam 99p shop sells? Even google couldn't tell me!
What with all this wintry weather, I have spent most of the evening looking at Christmas ideas on Pinterest. Deadly, don't know where the evening has gone! But if anyone else wants to have a peek, my page is hereHobnobs are like marines0 -

I feel really bad and very embarrassed. This morning I was just reading our lovely thread and wondered how on earth you'd gotten the idea that I was a nice person! I really am just normal and really quite nasty at times any way it now seems like I was fishing for compliments which I truly wasn't. Can't think of what to say to make it right again

Trendyjenny that is an awesome array of shops!
I can see how you must have to have lots of self-control! :rotfl:
freespirit yes there is one located on Reading Retail Park on Oxford Road. I have never been to that particular one as it's a bit awkward for me to get to, but I hope you make it there and enjoy it! :T I 'popped' to Home Bargains in my lunch break the other day, love it!!
moneysavingmumofone I think I remember reading a while ago that you were vaguely in my area, I forgot that when I was replying to you! Wow Slough has loads, we only moved to our current town in October time and I haven't actually been in the centre of Slough. For the last few months every time we have gone shopping we have had to get specific things for the wedding so have had to go elsewhere, when it's all over i'm going to make sure I take a trip to Slough!
dropsofjupiter I LOVE Pinterest!! It is so addictive.Your page looks great, i'm going to have a nose through in a min and probably re-pin everything!
Here is my Christmas board: http://pinterest.com/princesskitty29/christmas/ The wedding prep has held me back from spending much time on it recently, but i'm sure that when I don't have a wedding to plan i'm going to get carried away and have hundreds of boards!!
Nanamia I know what you mean. I am generally a nice person but every so often I get grumpy and fed up and snap at people etc. I'm not always an angel and I think that's what your saying. I think we all understand that, no one can be nice ALL the time, but what matters to us is that you've always been great to everyone on here, very supportive and encouraging and I think you've helped a lot of people over time. You've certainly helped me! And yes I am much calmer about the wedding now, what will be will be! Thank you.0
