Nanamia I know what you mean. I am generally a nice person but every so often I get grumpy and fed up and snap at people etc. I'm not always an angel and I think that's what your saying. I think we all understand that, no one can be nice ALL the time, but what matters to us is that you've always been great to everyone on here, very supportive and encouraging and I think you've helped a lot of people over time. You've certainly helped me!

I couldn't have said it any better myself ;)

Well I have been feeling a bit poorly the last few days (nothing major, just run-down) and as my cousin understandably doesn't want to risk passing anything on to my Nan, they will not be joining us for lunch today. I think her boys will be very upset, but Nan's health is more important.

We went to MIL yesterday for dinner, I didn't have the courage to tell her I had gone vegan (to me it just seemed rude to demand she cater for my change in diet) and she fed us lovely spag bol - I ate it, but after a month without meat I now feel awful - headache, bloated and just generally crap :( I am going to do a 3 day juice detox in the hopes of getting over it.

We are going to hopefully get to the dog park today :) The rain has just about held off and although the ground is probably water logged, I refuse to let the whole week that DH had off be wasted!

Have been stealing everyones pins ;)

OH just called me and said he's just gone past the old Focus where my mum lives and its turning into B&M!! Yay!! :j We do have one in town but this one will be HUGE and theres not really anywhere good to buy presents etc in my mums town so it will be fab! Hopefully we'll be moving there within the next year too so B&M within walking distance yay! Also going to apply for some jobs there. :D (I know you should really move first then apply for jobs lol but oh well! :p )

    I have just read this 3 times.:o

I kept reading BMW. I was thinking why are you so excited your Mum has got rid of her old Ford Focus and bought a new BMW. :rotfl:

    Happy Birthday Greentiger.

I am so sorry I missed it. :o Hope you had a lovely day. :)

Well it is snowing here, but that's not really news is it.:rotfl:

I am so glad we changed our holiday plans. We were going to go to London at Easter and stay in the camper. Me thinks it would be cold, going over to the shower block in my pjs.:rotfl:

I looked in the camper the other day as no more water has got in , so we are perplexed as to where the original water came from. If it is not leaking I am going to keep it. It gives me a headache. Half of me says get rid of it, it's not worth the aggravation. Bit the other half loves the old thing and wants to carry on doing it up. I only stopped because of the water. There isn't a lot left to do.

I have added all your pinterest pages. Could you please let me know if I have missed any. They were scattered about a bit.

Well we had even more snow last night. We also had an avalanche off the roof at 6am this morning. It was so loud I thought someone had crashed into our house! Thought I'd share another pic.

I know! Don't think I've ever been truly snowed in before! There's more forecast for tonight too. Sooo glad DH convinced me to go shopping on Thurs. I'd had a long day in work and wanted to leave it til my day off on Friday. If I'd got my way we'd be snowed in with no food! :rotfl:

  • Afternoon!

Hanley - I'm sick of the snow here but we have nowhere near as much as you!

Managed to slip over in the entrance of our market hall this morning, mainly hurt my pride as I was carrying a bag full of baking trays and the like so made a tremendous noise!

Thank you for your comments on my Pinterest board, I only joined after hearing you lovelies mention it on the run up to Christmas last year so a lot of the ideas came from then. I've had a little look at your board princesskitty but I'll have a better look once I'm on the computer.

  • princesskitty29-Slough isnt that big really but it does have all those shops plus the usual M&S, Debenhams, Superdrug, Boots, Argos etc! When we move I would definitely still come back here for shopping! If you go to the cinema you get free parking for the whole day (in the Queensmere shopping centre) which is particularly good when we got to the kids cinema which is only £1 each! :)

Nanamia-Nobody thought you were fishing for compliments honestly, you just sound a bit down so wanted to cheer you up. We all snap at people, I try to be nice but sometimes things boil over and I can be rather grumpy tbh! My OH and poor Mum get most of it. :o

Haha OMO. :)It sounds like (despite it being a pain in the bum) the camper brings you joy too and it would be worth carrying on. :) Is it Easter you're going to London? (in a nice warm hotel hehe) I cant wait to hear about your holiday, it all sounds great fun!

Feisty-Hope you feel better soon, its a shame when you have to postpone isnt it. Ive had to when going to see my Nan and Ive got a bad cold or something as would hate to pass it on. xx

We are going to London in June now, and staying in a nice hotel. Dd takes her exams in May, so we can go in term time. It is no cheaper but I am hoping it will be quieter.

I do love my camper. I used to have a 1976 sprite caravan but it just got too small. It is lovely camping, but is hard work when doing out alone with 2 kids. Just towing to the site was enough really. Then I had to level it and build the awning. When I think about it, it wasn't much if a break.
With the folding camper, I can just see over when towing, which is less stressful. And it sleeps 6 inside. So I don't need the awning if I don't want to put it up. But then the awning I have now is like a tent, really light with only 2 poles.
I have spent ages doing it up. I took cupboard out and fitted a fridge, a freezer, a microwave and a mini oven. It already had a sink and 2 gas rings.
It doesn't have a toilet, but we only need one at night and I have put up a curtain to make an area that can not be seen. You tend to only go before bed and when you get up, so it's not that bad. Actually it can be quite funny. We went away the other year with my cousin and she screamed and woke us all up. We all ran in there to find her looking at steam coming out of the porta loo.:rotfl:
