msgigglewick enjoy your new bed Hun, we bought a new one last year, bought a superking and the mattress is to die for. Can't believe I spent so many years sleeping on a old uncomfortable one but when money is tight you can't help it, so once we had extra money it was the first thing we bought, so happy for you that you can treat yourselves now and life is now more comfortable for you xThe new playsets look really good nd affordable! The Dr Who pages on facebook are amazing, the things you can buy!! I want them all.
Ahh good girl hehe! Dr Who geeks unite! My DS really wants the Clara figure too.
My sister bought me this for christmas, it was on my amazon wish list but I never thought anyone would buy it. msgigglewick, you won't know yourself in that bed
I grew up with hand me down matresses and the first thing my wonderful MIL did was treat us to a brand new one - I know she paid in the region of £300 for it! And I'm not sure I could justify such an expense, but it sure is lovely to sleep on
Nana, you sound like you are having such a wonderful time, you are such a wonderful person, you definitely deserve it!
Thank you for all your kind comments, feel slightly less guilty nowI will admit that I am a bit upset that the cage has taken up one of my worktops in the office, but I'm sure things will work out fine in a few weeks.
I'm setting up a store at a local fund raiser next Saturday to help raise awareness for CDH - I would be lying if I said I'm looking forward to it, I think the craft fair has really put me offHave finished some valentines cards and framed up some papercuts, hopefully they will catch someones eye

Evening all! Nanamia, your day sound perfect, just the kind of fun we all hoped you'd be having, and what fab news about your DSiL too. Onwards and upwards, wonderful!
I regularly have OAP-rage. I have every respect for the elderly and really go out of my way to be polite, understanding and respectful. I actually think it's old women - old men make me a little bit teary, there's nothing breaks my heart more than a little old man walking along with a little shopping bag. He could have mugged it off someone and be on his way home to beat his wife and I'd never know but just the sight of a little old man makes my eyes water!! Old women on the other hand...well what on earth happens to us?!? On the very rare occasion I get 3 minutes to run to the shop for a sandwich at lunch, I'm left to battle my way through the old-lady social in M & S! And they're so rude! One physically pushed in front of me a few weeks ago and I let it go, then she called over her old biddy friend and she pushed in too - not just with a few bits, but a whole trolley! I was just holding a bottle of water and a sandwich and I was clutching a five pound note so she could see I was on a lunch break and might have thought of letting me go first (not as special favour, because I ACTUALLY WAS FIRST!!) but no, the world revolves around them!
I've not had the greatest of nights, now the wedding is creeping up, rather than be all excited I keep feeling so overwhelmingly sad about my mum and dad not being there. It's not something I was expecting to feel, not so much anyway. OH has been lovely, even when I've moaned about how unfair it is that my parents won't be there but his crazy cowbag of a sister will be!
Eeeh, I'm really not in good fettle am I?? I'm not normally this mean and grumpy, honestly!
OMO, what a horrible couple of days for you, glad your DS is doing a bit better. Nothing worse than feeling helpless when someone else is so poorly!
Feisty what the are guinea pigs called?
Glad to see there are some Dr Who fans among us - always appreciate someone to go "sqqquuuueeeeeeeeee" and "what...what the...WHAT??" and "wooooooaaaaaaaah!" with when the series returns! And I am in love with the TARDIS skirt! That's gone straight on my wish list!0 -

Guinea pigs are called Sugar and Spice - not my names, but figured we'd just stick with it
I'm supposed to be enjoying my last lazy day with DH before I have to start nursing 5 days a week (it's been over 2 years since I last did this!) but we've had a few jewelry orders (:T) and so I want to get that filled and really want to get the new store open! It's going to be a busy day.....[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Morning all!
Well DH got in at 2am (he works in theatre) which wasnt too bad and has now got up and promptly gone back to sleep on sofa. Girls are wrecking their bedroom and no on is dressed yet!
We have decided to pay off our mortgage! Eeek! DH bought the house 10 years back and doesnt have huge amounts to pay off. I was left a bit of money a few years ago from my late Dads estate. We looked into paying it off before but we were not married and to put my name on the mortgage woukld cost a bit. Anyway, we are now married so have equal rights to the property in case something terrible ever happened. So am gonna pay it off.
We've also been dragging our heels as we are desperate to move house, ours is far too tiny but DH is so cautious its taking forever, so will pay it off and then hopefully start looking to move late this year time.
Need to get a jig on for making lunch. DH is back to work at 5 so we are having dinner at lunch time today!
Hope everyone else is good! Am overjoyed the snow has gone! Its sunny here!

i am currently sitting here eating a nice cold rice crispie cake that i made this morning (in a bid to make me feel better) with a nice cuppa tea. I feel like this thread is a nice happy place. Really woke up in a, not bad mood, but just very short fuse and everything is winding me up. Not sure what it is thats making me feel like this. A bit of the fact that Sundays just dont last long, knowing I have to go back to work tomorrow and not getting everything I want to do plus wanting to laze around when I cant....
hmmmmmm
CrowdPleaser Congrats on deciding to pay your mortgage off, think of all that spare cash each month, hope you have something planned to do with it.
I am hoping to buy my flat this summer, so any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Congratulations and commiserations to everyone who needs it today!!0
