I also meant to say, I have done something else towards Xmas today.
I have ordered a £200 Love to Shop card through my employers. £20 a month taken for next 10 months and (I know this is slightly devious) but if at the time it's not useful for the shops I need at the time then I will just buy my shopping from Iceland for a few weeks and get the cash back that way.
Totally random (but this was a topic earlier on the thread) - My DS's favourite kids film is Despicable Me. Every single night he shows me the trailer for Despicable Me 2 and is counting the days till it's out.
My DD's favourite kids film is the same as you Snugglebunny8 - Lilo and Stitch. When she was younger I think I kept the Disney store tills ringing as we must have bought every Stitch item available.
There was a second Stitch film where Stitch "died" (like ET where he comes back to life again). My DD was inconsolable and even though it had a happy ending she put the video in the bin. I rescued it, tried to reason with her but she wasn't having any of it and so the film did get binned.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -

BBThree I love Stitch, I have my coffee from the Stitch mug and DS bought me the big cuddly toy the Christmas before last!
Feisty that is terrible! I totally agree with ringing or emailing a complaint to the company and it might also be worth speaking to the police, as I would say that sounds like intimidating behaviour, I hope you are ok? did he come back when your OH was there?
I agree with putting even a hand written note on the door saying absolutely no cold callers - when I was helping my DD with her paper round the other day I noticed a lot of houses have the printed cards up about no cold callers, and one said they would report anyone who did then go ahead and call, they had typed it and added it at the bottom of the printed notice, but as I understand it you can involve the police and trading standards if they call when you have a notice up?
The ones that drives me mad are the ones that keep phoning, as you cant ignore the phone - I get all kinds and we are ex directory and Im very careful about giving my phone number for websites, permissions etc - one of them gave me the details of where they got my number form and it was when I did a lifestyle survey, despite me ticking the box not to pass my details on to other people they clearly have - so annoying, I try and be polite but tell them to remove me immediately from their records, but I still get loadsThe other night one claimed to be Sky TV then went into a spiel about insurance for my Sky box etc and that Id not made a claim so my premium would reduce etc and could he just confirm my address (he started to reasd it out to me) I said 'hold on - where did you say you were calling from?' and he hung up on me, clearly not from Sky and I dont even have insurance with Sky anyway so I knew straight away it was some scam to get bank details, so where did he get my name, address and phone number from?anyone who is asked for a phone number on a website or whatever I'd always now put a false number or one digit wrong unless its somebody you actually want to call you!

We are home again. The doctor couldn't believe we were sent home this morning without any sickness medication.
So we now have pain relieve and something to stop him feeling sick.
I stopped on the way home and got some coke. He needs to take his meds with flat coke.
Ds is now in bed, dd is staying at her best friends and I'm trying to chill with a coffee. Would love to put something stronger in it, but just can't take the chance I won't have to drive the 20 miles back to the hospital again.
Just caught the news for the first time today, and it says we are due more snow tonight  so really hope we don't have to go back again.0 -
