Hi all, tots had a nap in my bed  neither had a nappy on but all was well. They've had some tea, but not finished their own as they were too busy troughing mine! Didn't think they would like pâte on crusty rolls so they had noodles and sausages. But they ended up sharing a roll each and only eating half the noodles. Oh well.

Mr T has been so all shopping put away, we have food again. Tonight I have a few chores when they are in bed, downstairs loo wants s&s and the floor wiping :p, I need to collate a list of birthdays coming up so I can see what cards I need, and I need to empty the DW. Might do another wash too.

Have ordered DS birthday present: he got a fireman Sam set for crimbo, but there was no road track, whereas DD had track in her peppa pig set (same size vehicles etc). DS has taken his into her room to "share" so I've bought some extra track. They can either have a bit each or join together for a bigger one.

Tomorrow we might venture to the sales. DS shoes are atrocious. He has one "reasonable" pair of trainers, so they can be for nursery, and we'll get him a pair for home. I'll take the birthday card list, and hopefully I can get an embroidery hoop. There is a hobbycr@ft where I'm thinking of going.

Can't believe how easy it has been to clear up after Christmas! That's the flylady effect!

Washed the living room floor before I left to go to my voluntary job. Washing machine on straight away when I've come on tonight.

mummyof5 you are more than generous. I agree with FFP. PAYG is the way forward to prevent big phone bills. DS1 has to babysit, garden, wash cars etc to get cold hard cash. It does not grow on trees.

LW glad to hear you are warm again. Sweet dreams and nightmare vanishing vibes sent with affection x

Just reporting that I am in good shape for the ironing challenge.:D
  • Slow day today, been to Mr T to get some more dishwashing supplies as my trug was running low and get car topped up with my 5p off a litre.

Got rid of a load of glass bottles and jars.

Been outside to inspect the garden (no flooding so far today)

Put away Mount Foldmore, Mount Ironmore is limited to DD3 school shirts only :D

DD2 has disappeared around a friends for the night, without putting away her clothes.....and I refuse to do it, when everyone else has done theirs.

Got some frogs looked at, got DS prescriptions, took my sharps box back to Dr's for disposal, found DS birth certificate ready to get his early years free nursery place now he has been signed off by speech therapist.......checked old emails to find out when I purchased my original green steam mop (June 2011, so well, well past guarantee) checked train website to see if I could buy DD2 termly season ticket online yet (nope, still need to buy by phone) checked when DD2 is back to 6th form (3rd, which is the day I have to go to hospital, so I can at least get her there when I go in the morning)....spoke to old school friend who worked for water board for advice re the flooding ;) and found an email from my sister who now wants to get estate tidied up before I go into hospital on the 3rd (I can't get the laptop to talk to the desktop in the room of doom where I have kept my master spreadsheet, so I either need to have an unpleasant phone call or make the decision to ignore it until after the 3rd and THEN decide what to do)......flybaby needs to be my priority at the moment, but sister has a different priority

Had a nice long nap with DS to get my ankles back to something approaching normality.

Found a nice dress in my wardrobe that is suitable to wear to next door for New Years Eve do that I have been invited to...fortunately the do doesn't start til 9pm so I will try to rest up til the last minute then try to find somewhere to sit down while I am there without looking like a party pooper :D

right time for a cuppa......and then decorations MUST come down
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Hello!

Bit of an odd day today. Had a MRI scan at the hospital (long story short have lost 40% of hearing in left ear but very sensitive nerve endings so they want to look ............ brain is there!) Then we pootled round town for a bit and hubby treated me to a fry up which was yum.
Cold is coming back - poo - so had a sleep this afternoon and then went to SW.
I have put on weight - 3.5 pounds but am full of good intentions and planning to make a fresh start.

"But thats not money saving!!!" Well I rarely drink, gave up smoking, managed to lose 2.5 stone by myself but now need the extra help from a group. I class it as my night out (I know, sad) and it makes me feel better!

    Flying:

    S&S kitchen and bathroom
    Sorted the dishes
    About to tackle some paperwork

    Weight-declutter:

    Quick walk with the dogs

    See you all later

If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

Mummyto5 you are very generous. Mine would be without the phone until it was paid off. Has he tried getting a pt job? My 16 and 18 year old both only get money from their work, 18 year old pays rent each week too plus pays his own phone contract.

House is quite clean and tidy but need to catch up with more laundry tomorrow.

If you are on a contract it is probably too expensive to abandon for a PAYG. Have you spoken to the phone company to put a limit on the phone. I managed to persuade Virgin several years ago to put a £20 limit on DD1's phone (their normal minimum was £50!) DD1 had a sim only £10 a month contract at the time (she was about 15, I think). She has run up a £48 bill, and I wasn't happy! She didn't do it again ;) It is easier said than done for them to get PT work, I know. DD2 is still trying :( But they can help you out. Good luck :)

Not much done today :o Bed stripped, washed & remade, and got a few bits of food from Mr A. Dinner cooked while DH walked the dog. The dog has been chewing on a 'postman's leg' all evening (Xmas present from my mum!). He can barely lift it - it is huge!!

    Plan for tomorrow:
send DH out with dog early
move furniture from DR into LR (well, table & chairs anyway)
    hoover, then shampoo DR carpet
    hoover, then shampoo hall carpet
spend the rest of the day at my Mum's - Christmas take 2 with brother & sister :D

Hopefully the carpets will dry while we are out - and we can shut the worn out dog in the kitchen :)

Ok I didn't do the downstairs loo, or the 3rd wm, but everything else is good.

Night all, have a nice evening.
