The poor relation

best part my sis in law remarried and in my opinion was gold digging her first husband never did her any harm that I know of and she up and left and within a year she was remarried
You need to stop wasting so much energy on thinking about this, its really poor form to be speculating on somebody's marriage and character like this, you have no idea what went on in their relationship.0 -
I go on cruises, but I don't bang on about it all the time. If somebody asks, then I'll speak about it - but I'd hate it if they thought I was bragging. It's something that I love, my husband and I have worked hard all our lives to do, and we are careful with our money for the rest of the year so we can have our cruises.
Maybe your sister and sister in law enjoy their holidays so much, they can't help talking about it, through excitement and anticipation.
Remember, some people may envy you for your wonderful children. not everybody can have children, and when you talk about your children, that could be perceived as bragging. It's very possible that if your sister and sister in law haven't got children, they could in fact envy you.
The best thing is to enjoy what you have and not listen to things that make you unhappy and discontented.Early retired - 18th December 2014

'It's a shame you have to take so many holidays to get away from real life sis/SIL. I'd much rather be happy in my own skin. Now, do you want a cup of tea?'If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Its not thier fault that they live good lives. Change yours rather than being envious

Empty vessels tend to make the most noise..........nice house and wonderful children? What else really matters?"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

Jealosy is unattractive...
Why shouldn't they be allowed to discuss it! Why should they shut up about the nice things they can afford (and their husbands have worked hard for), just because you haven't earned as much??
Ps - if a husband is happy to have a stay at home wife, then that's their business.
If you want a new car and holiday, then re-assess your career and come up with a plan to earn more.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

"I'll be having a saucer of milk of course, after that comment."0 -
You seem to have done your own independent research into the cost of their new cars? It sounds like you've deliberately set out to rub your own nose in their business ...0

It's purely the fact that neither of them have worked a stroke in their lives and yet we both work and can't afford such things best part of it both their husbands are really nice people and very down to earth and do not blow their trumpet at all that's all0

I hate people saying "they never worked". Because running a family and house is lots of fun isn't it? Bringing children up and virtually be a domestic cleaner is lot of fun isn't it?
I personally could never ever ever ever be stay at home woman. I would go mental. Much harder work then my office hours, that is for sure!! (but my sis was SAHM for years. So I know what I am talking about).
Also husbands who earn lots of money are often away a lot. If not physically, certainly in their mind. You don't make a lot of money without trying to make them all the time!
I think you are one of those people who always think grass is greener elsewhere... You look at people, what they have and compare it what you don't. Rather then what you have and they don't!0
