When I do lamb like this I plonk it in, coat the top liberally with mint sauce, and add a packet of oxo lamb and mint gravy (made up with only 1/2 pint of water so it's extra thick) around the bottom. I do rather like mint though! I cook mine on low all day.Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -

In mine today I have stewing steak (£3 for packet but I've frozen half for another day) carrots, leek, chopped potato and mushrooms with beef gravy. I've also added flour to thicken it, and a bit of garlic. The beef I've left as whole pieces as they will fall apart when cooked anyway.
Will serve with either rice or jacket spuds - haven't decided yet!0 -
in mine today i have minted lamb chops, 3 trays for a fiver from local butcher, but only using 2. 3 carrots an onion and a jug of gravy with a few small potatoes thrown in for good luck, smells delish0

In my slow cooker today I have in a plastic bowl, sausages (pre-browned), with runner beans, carrots, onion, tinned toms, stock and baked beans, and in the water in the crockpot I have baby potatoes.
Trow - thanks for that idea! I have a rather large slow cooker, only used for entertaining the masses, but now realise I can do smaller portions that way. Cooking potatoes in the water around makes the meal complete...... can't wait to try it out :-)"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
