Sausage casserole in mine - 2 packs of Tesco finest Pork and onions sausages, 1 jar Value tomato spaghetti sauce, I tin chopped toms, 1 tin baked beans (also filled the pasta sauce jar with water and added that as it looked a bit thin) 2 onions cut into wedges and browned, also browned the sausages and cut them into chunks. Cooked on high for a while, then turned down to medium. When 30 mins away from serving, added some dumplings made with SR flour, cooking oil and water (8oz flour, 2 tablespoons of oil and enough water to make a think dough).
Went down really well with #2 son who *hates* casseroles!

I have a 6.5 litre MR slow cooker, is it worth getting a smaller one in addition?

Depends on how many you are cooking for and how oftren you use it - I have teh MR 3.5 litre one and am just off to argos to get the 6.5 one on sale for £19.99 - I find when batch cooking I need a bigger one.

Thanks - i not worried as i use my SC a lot and I mean a lot. I was just answering the previous poster who was saying they didnt get any recipes :D

ETA - Just removed the veg/oat/mince concoction that was cooking overnight and it smells lovely - drooling already

I thought that was strange as you're a regular poster. :D

I've just had my 6.5 litre cookworks one replaced, as the crockpot developed a crack in it.

The last of the venison in mine, with 1/3 bottle red, bacon, parsnips, carrots, onions, garlic, allspice, seasalt, and black pepper.

I just use my 6.5 litre one. I usually cook for at least two days, and it sits a huge joint of meat with root veg comfortably.
